    • Overview
    • I Spit on Your Grave is a controversial 1978 cult classic rape and revenge film. The film received a limited release, with a wider release in 1980. Prominent film critics condemned the film for its graphic violence, nudity, obscene language, and lengthy depictions of gang rape, and the motion picture remains controversial to this day; even considered as being among the worst ever made. The film was followed by the unofficial sequel Savage Vengeance (1993) in which Camille Keaton (under the alias of Vickie Kehl for unknown reasons) reprises the role of Jennifer. Zarchi allegedly sued director Donald Farmer, which resulted in a "change" in the character Jennifer's name - instead of reshooting, they blanked the audio when an actor said her last name. Keaton allegedly walked out of filming, which gives somewhat of an explanation as to why the film ended so suddenly.
