Air date: 22 Sep '07 - 12 episodesFamily Guy's sixth season first aired on September 23, 2007 on Fox and ended on May 4, 2008. The season includes 12 episodes and was shortened due to creator Seth MacFarlane's participation in the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, which resulted in Fox airing episodes without MacFarlane doing the final work. The episode "Lois Kills Stewie" was the last episode completed before the strike. When the strike ended in February 2008, Fox had already aired three episodes without any input from MacFarlane. Episodes 2-8 of the sixth season are included on the Volume 6 DVD, which was released on October 21, 2008, and episodes 9-12 are included on the Volume 7 DVD, which was released on June 16, 2009. The season aired in the UK from May 4, 2008 - June 15, 2008 on BBC Three.

When Princess Leia is captured by the evil Darth Vader the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 escape to the planet Tatooine to find help from the Rebel Alliance. There they encounter Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca and Obi-Wan Kenobi who infiltrate the Death Star then rescue the captive princess from the Death Star and return to aid the Rebellion in its fight against the Galactic Empire.

Meanwhile Meg and Chris get jobs at the convenience store where Chris befriends the manager Carl who leaves Meg to do all the work. Carl soon fires her and promotes Chris to the co-boss.

The episode follows Peter Griffin as he becomes frustrated with the presence of illegal immigrants and convinces his supervisor to initiate an inspection, laying off any immigrants employed, unknowing that he was born in Mexico and that his mother never filled out his citizenship papers. Peter's usual drinking habits take over, and he soon spirals out of control, as does Brian's self restraint, as he soon professes his love for Lois. Peter and Brian test their friendship over the woman of their dreams.
