Emily reviewed Westworld
Numbing Shocks
Alternate titles for Westworld:
1. Jurassic Park: Robot Edition
2. Hannibal Lector's Fun Time Psychological Torture Zoo

Only gave this watchable cause I found episodes slow and had to take a few months break between every 3 episodes or so. It also does similar things as Mr. Robot where it pulls out the rug from under you and expects you to be shocked but you feel like a Host whose emotions have been turned off.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the hallmark movies, specifically romance ones are annoying, but this one is especially so. The main female love interest was irritating, to the point where I didn't care if she didn't end up with her love interest. I actually couldn't blame that one teacher who got her kicked out of the prom, they made that teacher look like a villian, but in another movie the actress would be the evil one. Also the romance was unbelievable there was zero chemistry.

Fine
I hoped this movie would be something I would really enjoy. With Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron in a musical, it had the recipe for amazement. But I found it was just fine. I wasn't a huge fan of the story line. Take away the music and it's just a tale of a hard luck man who starts a circus. As well the romance between the Zac Efron and Zendaya characters was hard to get behind since their only relationship seemed to be their heart eyes at each other. Even the "affair" with Barnum and Jenny Lind seemed more believable (though also very frustrating). The one thing I enjoyed was the songs but sometimes I felt they went on to long or were repetitive versus. If your a musical fan like me I wouldn't skip it but its definitely not one for the over re-watch shelf.

Missing Something
This movie seemed to lacking something or maybe was to unexplained. It advertised as an adult movie but definitely is more likely appeal to older kids/teens. I would say though it's not a typical Stephen King story.

A fun time waster
Just re-watched this and updating my rating since I haven't seen this since it came out. I have since become a fan of ABBA's music so watching this was better when you know the songs. Also I loved the use of a lot of the background characters as centers of the musical numbers. I think they did well to take a stage musical to the screen, though I have never seen it on stage. It was fun to watch

Emily reviewed Weiner
interesting
The people filming this documentary were lucky enough to be at centre of an unfolding trainwreck. As the film progresses Weiner reveals his true nature as the dick wad he is. The girl he sexted seems to have no shame either and you think they probably deserve each other. Also since his actions not see in this doc lead to the downfall of Hillary Clinton this could a historical reference point

Ugh
Just re-watched since the fifth is coming soon. This is only the second time I've seen this movie. I have to say that it is so lacking compared to other films. Elizabeth and Will are missing and that's fine, their storyline ended. But other characters in Jack's crew like Cotton and that guy with the fake eye among others are sorely missing. This movie was held up but only Jack, Barbossa, and Gibbs. The plot is bland and predictable. Also (spoiler ahead) the mermaid drags the religious guy into a bottomless ocean and we are supposed to assume she won't kill him because they had insta love. Overall the movie felt like fanfiction

Good enough
This film is slow but enjoyable to watch. though the stalking part is kind of creepy it is actually understandable situation that character was in. I would have really liked to have got a scene of them old or dying, or even like their kid at the end greeting the crew members. It's good for a one time watch.

Emily reviewed Moonlight
boring
This movie had literally no plot... spoilers ahead.... A black boy has a mom who is addicted to drugs so he often hangs out with a guy who sells his mom drugs. When he's older he has his first gay sexual experience only to have that same boy beat him up after by the school bully tells him to. Years later these two sweethearts meet up and cuddle...

That's it, that's literally the plot of the film. I felt that even with it showing the struggles of a black gay man it really didn't show the full deeper meaning of that. It was nothing special, everyone has had romantic struggle, bullying issues, bad parents...

I don't understand why Marsahala Ali won an Oscar, I mean his acting was good but he was in the movie for 2 minutes.
