Derren Brown: Trick or Treat : Season 2

The subject is taught a technique of speed learning, and spends a week scanning hundreds of books in preparation for a Night of the Champions pub quiz, entering as the only solo participant.

The subject is shown a kitten in a metal cage and told that it will be electrocuted if they press a button. The subject is offered £500 if she can stay in the room for five minutes without killing the kitten, despite having been told not to.

The subject, guest star David Tennant, appears to have the ability to time travel. He is taken back to the early 1930s and gives out facts, which appear in a newspaper from that date. He then predicts what a member of the public will draw on a card, twenty minutes beforehand. Finally, he performs automatic writing, predicting a news item which would appear four days later in The Guardian newspaper.

Derren's "Trick"-victim is 22 year old administrator Angela, who has to learn some 19th century esoteric techniques. She is put through a series of trainings and tests that all lead up to the final challenge - an escape.

Derren attempts to transform IT worker Jason from a nervous doubter to a confident go-getter. He teaches Jason a number of life-enhancing techniques that unlock the secrets of powerful confidence. Derren has Jason experience a potentially embarrassing speed-dating event - twice. And then he has one final surprise in store...

Psychological illusionist Derren Brown concludes his second series of mind trickery. In tonight's finale, he executes a final twist on previous participants, including David Tennant, who have arrived for an end of series wrap party.
