Born in Graudenz, Germany, Leo White (November 10, 1882 - September 20, 1948) was an actor who grew up in England where he started his stage career. He came to the United States in 1911 under the aegis of Daniel Frohman, a well known Broadway producer. During the silent era. White began working in film. He eventually appeared in more than 300 films, often playing bit parts in uncredited roles and as a character actor in many Charlie Chaplin productions, typically cast as a dapper, continental villain or a noblemen. He married Maxine Louise Furman in 1932.
