Reid has distant French Cajun and Amerindian heritage. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, at age one her parents were relocated to southern California where she grew up as an army brat. She attended California State Polytechnic University, Amy Reid made her on-screen debut (under the stage name IVanna Humpsalot) in Young Ripe Mellons 7 in 2005. She did her first anal scene in Weapons of Ass Destruction #5. In October 2007, Ried became a contract performer for Third Degree Films. In October 2009, she signed with New Sensations.
