Bio:

Andrea True (born Andrea Marie Truden) was an actress, musician, and singer. True's father died during her teens, and her mother was a professional singer, who enrolled Andrea in a Catholic school for the Performing Arts, where she sand and played piano, winning awards. In 1958, at age 15, she hosted her own TV show, Teen Beat, on Nashville's WTVF, leading to work in TV production. Marrying at 19, she quit school to follow her husband's education, before taking adult modeling and soon porn gigs in the Netherlands. True returned to the US in the mid-60s and worked in the burgeoning NYC porn industry, starring in adult movies through the mid-70s. Being hired for TV commercial work in Jamaica in 1975, True found herself in a dilemma when a Castro supporter was elected in Jamaica, leading to sanctions by the US on Jamaica, which resulted in Jamaica freezing asset transfers out of the country. True could either spend the money she'd earned in Jamaica or abandon it, so she called her writing partner, record producer Gregg Diamond, to Jamaica, and booked time in a recording studio to work on some songs, one of which became the huge early Disco hit "More, More, More", released under the Andrea True Connection. Originally released only to discos during the winter of 1975, the song received huge responses in the clubs, prompting her label Buddah to release the song commercially in the spring of 1976.
