He died on June 20, 1963 in Tarzana, California, USA. Big, beefy character actor best known as Brit Reid/The Green Hornet in Universal's "Green Hornet" film serials and Mike the Cop, Lou Costello's nemesis, on The Abbott and Costello Show (1952). Usually portrayed good-natured but rather dim-witted louts. Was a slim leading man in "B" movies of the mid-1930s.
