Top 5 Saturday Night Live Skits That Will Leave You In Stitches

There are so many, way too many, that should be on this list. Yet, here we are rummaging through this sadistic piece of listicle. The choices of the shows that made to this final draft is probably because I was born in the late late-90s and I came across SNL only post my pubescent life and missed an awful lot of Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase. It would've been awesome growing up watching these comical legends but hey, I had Scooby Doo and Detective School Q.
Current Status: My interest in SNL was suddenly annulled by a random YouTube recommended sidebar video of Don Rickles. I'm kinda old school by the way.

5. Everything Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey is the epitome of comical cerebral palsy faces and rhetoric mesmerizing performances. He has been part of several SNL sketches across a long passage of time from the Jim Carrey re-union to the Mathew McCoughaney spoof sessions. It always feels good when Jim Carrey drops by the studio to perform a sketch about the rise of McConaissance.

4. More cowbell

If Will Ferrell's performance as Gene Frenkle threw you off the seat, then you probably had belly ache after watching the ever extraordinary Christopher Walken breathe life into Bruce Dickinson. This legendary rendition of the Blue Oyster Cult became an overnight pop culture hit and made its way into films, TV sets and video games.
“I got a fever, and the only prescription... is more cowbell!''

3. 1992 Presidential Debate

Dana Carvey is the kind of guy who radiates the English axiom "Appearances are deceptive"; just like Hugh Jackman who blew my mind with his Oscar opening song, because, never in my vividly imaginative life did I realize that Wolverine could sing. Although his persona as Garth Algar has a huge following, his impersonations are top-notch stuff - in fact, he laid the groundwork for future generations to mimic Arnold Schwarzenegger. However, it's his imitations of American Presidents in the order of George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Junior George Bush that earned him a new set of audience and success.
P.S : His Michael Caine is noteworthy.

2. Chippendales

Two words - Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze. Both perfect, funny, appealing and body perfect - maybe not; Chris Farley and 'Dirty Dancing' hunk competing to be the next best male dancer was pitch perfect in every manner. While Swayze swayed around with his gracious appeal, Farley flubbered around delivering a high voltage belly shaking performance. Those were the days I fanboyed at every Patrick Swayze news! Ah such sweet melancholy!

1. Celebrity Jeopardy

It was either this or The Roxbury Guys. But let's face it, anything with Alex Trebek feels like a winner. Alex Trebek is a cultural manifestation of three amusing features - the Sean Connery impression, the Scottish drunkard gibber-gabber and the potty mouth approach to turning every word awkward and embarrassing. His kitty of 'Yo Mama' jokes is so LOL. Alongside Darrell Hammond, Will Ferrell as the anchor at the receiving end and Norm McDonald as Burt Reynolds played a major role in making it to the top of this over-rated list.
