1. दंगल

Nitesh Tiwari’s film has become one of the most profitable ventures for the makers. Made on a budget of 90 crores, this biographical sports drama has minted 383.88 crores at the domestic box office. Not only is दंगल the most profitable film of 2016, but also the highest grossing film of all time.
Having a humongous collection of 383.88 crores, the film's profit percentage comes to 326.53%.

2. Neerja

The biography of Neerja Bhanot was very well received by the audience and thus it fared well at the box-office. Made on the budget of 21 crores including Print and Advertising, the film has collected 75.61 crores at the box office.
Thus, the profit percentage stands to 260%.

3. Sultan

Bhai + Eid = Havoc at the box-office. The Salman Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer has put up a profit score of 234%. The film was made on a budget of 90 crores.
Sultan is Salman's 2nd highest grossing movie, first being the All-Time-Blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

4. Pink

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, this movie features Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Angad Bedi, Andrea Tariang and Piyush Mishra in key roles. Pink is one of the highest rated movies of 2016.
Made on the budget of 21 crores, the film collected 68 crores. It has made the profit of 47 crores, which takes its profit percentage to 223.80%.

5. Airlift

Akshay Kumar’s Airlift has made great business in the domestic as well as international circuits. Made on a moderate budget of 40 crores, the film collected 129 crores at the box-office. Thus, taking it's profit percentage to 222.50%.

6. Rustom

What a year for Akshay Kumar! First Airlift then Rustom. This Akshay - Ileana starrer collected 127.42 crores.
It made a profit of 87.42 crores which takes its profit percentage to 218.55% at the domestic box office.

7. डियर ज़िन्दगी

The makers of this film made a very well planned move which made डियर ज़िन्दगी a very successful film. Gauri Shinde’s slice of life drama was made on a moderate budget of 33 cores including P and A (excluding Shah Rukh Khan’s fees, since he was the producer.) The film has made a business of 67 crores at the box-office.
It made a profit of 34 crores, which takes its profit percentage to 103.03%.

8. Baaghi: A Rebel For Love

This Tiger Shroff - Shraddha Kapoor starer has been a surprise hit at the box-office. Having garnered positive reviews from the critics, the audience too showed their love for this film!
The film which was made on a modest budget of 38 crores, made a lifetime collection of 76 crores. It made a profit of 38 crores, thus taking its profit percentage to a full 100%.
