Divided By Nations, United By Bollywood.

Hey guys, do you know that I am talented? Yes, you heard it right. I do have talent. From which country do I belong? STOP!!! Does that really make sense? Why should anyone care about my caste, colour or creed? Instead, they should see my talent and skills, isn't it? Exactly! Recently, after the Uri attacks, the Pakistani celebs were banned from Bollywood. Now, I don't think we should mix art/talent with cross-border tension. Well, I should not comment on the aforementioned topic as it varies with others' perspective. Leave aside all these and have a look at the list of the celebs from other countries who contributed largely to our industry and won our hearts.

Fawad Khan

I don't care about what others say, but he is surely my favourite among other celebs in the list. He is one of the best talents emerged in recent times. Many enter Bollywood through Indian TV serials unlike him, who directly evolved from Pakistan TV serials to Indian Cinema. Amongst World's Most Handsome Men, he started his Bollywood career with the Shashanka Ghosh directorial titled Khoobsurat. Quite surprisingly, it proved to be a HIT and Fawad became the hot topic of B-Town(especially among women).*wink* He also starred in Kapoor and Sons, which again was a surprise hit. His performance was lauded by one and all, what with getting many nominations for awards. Later on, he was seen in a cameo in KJo's ऐ दिल है मुश्किल. As usual, he won hearts with this one too. Most probably, it would be his last Hindi movie, keeping in mind the cross-border tensions. Still, let's hope for the BEST.

Adnan Sami

Mujhko Bhi Toh Lift Karaa De. Oh what hell of a song it was! We all are his Jabra Fans, isn't it? Popularly known as the Sultan Of Music, he started his music career in the 80's and is still active and superhit amongst the international audience. Born in London, this man is believed to be a man of Indian, Pakistani & Afghani origin. He delivered a lot of hits through his music albums prior to which he started to work for Bollywood movies. As predicted, he topped the charts here too, what with every song being a chartbuster. Recently he crooned Noor-E-Khuda from My Name Is Khan, Sweeta from Kill Dil, and Bhar Do Jholi Meri from Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Not only did he sing that Qawwali, but also did a cameo after being requested by Salman Khan. Hats off to the singer cum pianist cum actor cum musician cum composer.

Atif Aslam

Do you still listen to Tere Sang Yaara on loop? I'm sure you do. His old songs such as Juda Ho Ke Bhi, Aadat, Woh Lamhe, Doorie, etc. are still hummable and listened to. Every song crooned by him becomes an instant hit following to which the Chartbuster tag gets snatched away. This Pakistani singer cum actor cum musician is active since 2004 and has numerous chartbusters to his name. Recently, he crooned many hit numbers such as Jeena Jeena from Badlapur, Tu Chahiye from Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tere Sang Yaara from Rustom, and his latest music album titled Pehli Dafa.

Katrina Kaif

This actress, who emerged from Salman Khan's launchpad, is the heart-throb of the nation since years. She started her career in the year 2003 with the Kaizad Gustad directorial titled Boom. The explicit content of the movie prevented it from releasing in India. Later on, she tasted success with films such as Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Namastey London, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, De Dana Dan, and many others. She was often criticised for her poor acting, but then she proved them wrong in the form of Raajneeti, New York and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara where she not only received commercial success, but was also lauded by critics. She also holds many flops to her name such as Yuvvraaj, Tees Maar Khan, Fitoor, बार बार देखो, etc. Her upcoming movie which is titled Jagga Jasoos, is going to hit the theatres this April and we all wish her good luck for the Anurag Basu directorial.

Ali Zafar

While some of you might be unaware of the fact, but let me tell you that his last Bollywood movie is डियर ज़िन्दगी. He had a cameo in the film and also crooned the super hit number Turn Hi Hair composed by Amit Trivedi. His debut music album Huqa Pani's song titled Channo crossed five million viewsviews and fetched him numerous nominations. He was voted as the "Sexiest Asian Man on the Planet" based on a worldwide poll by the British newspaper Eastern Eye in 2013 and 2014. He debuted in Bollywood in the form of Tere Bin Laden for which he received overwhelming appreciation. Later on, alongside his singing career with his albums, his acting career was also on a high with films like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Chashme Baddoor, and डियर ज़िन्दगी (cameo). He also starred in London, Paris, New York, Total Siyapaa and Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive (cameo) but those were average flicks. After the ban on Pakistani actors by the MNS, I don't think we'd be able to see this talent anymore. Still, let's pray so that everything equalises and we all are at peace.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Winner of the 2006 Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant, this Sri Lankan beauty started her acting career in Bollywood with Aladin alongside Ritesh Deshmukh & Amitabh Bachchan. Later in 2010, she signed Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai which was again, a disaster. None expected her to raise temperatures when she sizzled in the item number Dhanno from Housefull. Her real commercial success approached her in the form of Murder 2, directed by Mohit Suri. As expected, after that there was no looking back for her. With films such as Kick, Housefull 2, Housefull 3, Brothers, Dishoom, and Race 2 she struck gold at the B.O. Now sky is the limit for this diva.
