This anthology show revolved around the adventures of Olivia Hartley and Cooper Snow who ran Black Tie dating service. They were assisted by their geeky sidekick, Ryan Lundy. Each week they would encounter new or returning customers and try to play matchmaker. The first season had two main subplots that continued in each episode. The first was the budding romance between Ryan and Cooper. The second was Olivia getting over the loss of her husband and dating again. In the second season, the show was retooled. The anthology series was renamed Hollywood Sexcapades and the characters of Olivia and Cooper were said to be out of the country opening a new branch. Candi Hicks, a recurring customer in the first season, became the new employee of Black Tie dating service. She and Ryan partnered to run the company, and the continuing subplot was the budding romance between these two...

Cooper continues to enjoy sex with Ryan but avoids the ""couple"" label, much to his chagrin. Olivia plans to break up with Charlie but instead goes away with him for the weekend. She tells him she still loves her husband and he tells her he won't push her on the issue, which only complicates her feelings all the more.

In the meanntime she helps two of her clients land jobs on a soap opera where the backstage drama is far steaming than anything onscreen. After Ryan's flirtation with a pretty young British woman sparks envy in Cooper, she finally admits they are in a ""relationshippy thing"" and reveals their status to a not very surprised Olivia.

Sparks fly when the two discover each other's identities and feel a mutual attraction. Meanwhile, Cooper picks up a pair of earrings from an old flame, Justin. Although she avoids temptation, a heartbroken Ryan sees them in a final kiss and assumes she cheated on him.
