A flawed Mulk has its heart in the right place.
Mulk is a must watch movie at home or inside a hall. Go with your partner and get into an intensive discussion after the show. I did too. As a generation, we are slowly losing the art of getting into focused, detailed, discussions and debates. Mulk is an applaud worthy movie. Singapore noon show, Sunday, at heart of the city, had a packed hall and people clapped on a few scenes towards the end too.

India’s answer to Narcos

The opening two lines of Sacred Games go thus – ‘Bhagwaan ko maanta hai?’ … ‘Bhagwaan ko lu@d farak padta hai.’ (Do you believe in God? God gives a fu&k).

In between the two lines is a camera shot of a dog lying in a pool of blood – belonging to a small-town-rags to riches Bollywood actress, thrown down from a high rise by a cocaine-snorting co-actor.

You then agree ace directors Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap have finally given the world, Asia’s counter-punch to Narcos.

Average Film with lame defence for king of bad choices

You can now expect a Salman Khan biopic soon. Where Somy Ali, a husband beater, hires a black buck to kill Sallu. The black buck injures Sallu badly. Sohail Khan then takes him wounded to hospital on a vegetable cart. A Mumbai pothole disbalances the cart and it accidentally knocks off six people on the footpath .. dead! The audience cheer, clap and shed tears for Salman. The film ends with Malaika Arora hiring the same black buck to trap Arbaaz in match fixing!
