The muppets is a charming and delightful film with some great musical numbers and some fantastic acting performances. Amy Adams and Jason Segal are great and the muppets are such lovable and memorable characters. This is just such a feel good and enjoyable film.

Despite a great voice cast and some nice animation, Despicable me 2 never turns into anything other than a boring and weak sequel to a much better film. The plotline of Gru becoming a spy is interesting and could have been very entertaining if the script had been written better but here it just turns out boring and stupid. Lucy is a nice edition to the franchise but sometimes she's way over the top and ridiculously annoying. The villain is totally forgettable and cliché and his motivation doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Some of the humor is genuinely funny but most of time I found myself rolling my eyes and getting annoyed. Despicable me 2 is not terrible but I would highly recommend you just watch Megamind instead.
