Air date: 23 Sep '89 - 23 episodesAlvin and the Chipmunks is an American animated television series featuring The Chipmunks, produced by Bagdasarian Productions in association with Ruby-Spears Enterprises from 1983–87, and DIC Entertainment from 1988–90. It aired from 1983 to 1990 on NBC and is the follow-up to the original 1961–62 series, The Alvin Show. The show introduced The Chipettes, three female Chipmunks with their own human caretaker, Miss Beatrice Miller. In 1988, the show switched production companies to DiC Enterprises and was renamed just The Chipmunks. In 1987, during the show's fifth season, the Chipmunks' first animated feature film, The Chipmunk Adventure, was released to theaters by The Samuel Goldwyn Company. The film was directed by Janice Karman and featured the Chipmunks and Chipettes in a contest traveling around the world. In its eighth and final season, the show again switched titles to The Chipmunks Go to the Movies. Each episode was a spoof of a Hollywood film like Back to the Future or King...

1. Cookie Chomper III
23 Sep '89Theodore encounters a stray kitten that entered through an open window in the house. He and the boys take an instant liking to the kitten, and after some compromising, they name the kitten Cookie Chomper III, and after Dave is cured of his allergy to cats, he comes to like the kitten as well. After Cookie Chomper gets run over, the boys have a hard time dealing with it. Eventually, they get a new pet, a puppy they name Lilly.

2. Home, Sweet Home
09 Sep '89Alvin lies to his classmates that he will be singing on stage with Michael Jackson. As Alvin tries to find Michael in order to see if it really is possible he could perform with him, he meets up with the big star's manager. To Alvin's surprise, this so-called manager is a homeless man looking to find a place to stay.

4. Nightmare on Seville Street
16 Sep '89The boys disobey Dave and instead of seeing a kid's movie, they go in and see a horror movie. The movie ends up scaring the Chipmunks out of their wits. All night, the boys think that Hideous Harold, the creature from the horror film, is after them.
