This movie was a pleasant surprise. I didn't have great expectations before getting in the theater but right after the movie, I was left wanting for more. Peyton Reed did a great job with the movie. Cinematography is great as well. The scene where the Antman uses the fire ants as a surfboard, the ants to short circuit the servers and the use of 'Ant-thony' were all very creative and imaginative. The comic relief in the movie was pleasant and felt good. The supporting cast with Paul Rudd were great. Michael Pena was a delight. Veteran actor Michael Douglas did a great job as a mentor and a sad daddy. The movie is a fun watch for all the comic fans out there. For everyone else, watch it for the creativity and the great cast.
A masterpiece. One wouldn't expect a comic personality like Jim Carrey to pull off a role this brilliantly. He is a total delight to watch. This movie teaches you how to value a beautiful relationship, with any loved one. It teaches you that making important decisions when your brain is drowning in emotions is never a clever choice and something that you will surely regret. Kate Winslet pulls off her character, Clementine, very well too. She is a very talented actress and this movie only adds up to that accolade, The most impactful moment during the movie was when the entire procedure was almost over and the house near the beach is about to collapse and then Clementine says, 'Come back and make up a good-bye at least. Let's pretend we had one.' Through every shot of the film you can see how beautifully it was made. Kaufman, Gondry and the pitch-perfect actors have crafted a remarkable film that can coax a smile about making the same mistakes in love and then sneak up and quietly break your heart. To all those out there who would want to cherish their relationships and fall deeper in love with that special someone, this movie is a must watch.
To do justice to a character is a very difficult task to accomplish. To cast an actor to get the task done is a very nuanced challenge as well. Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell. Believe me when I tell you that they are 'the best' casting choices made. No one could possibly do justice to the characters as they do. The intensity they carry, the body language, their chemistry, every single thing about them. It is all a pleasure to watch. Their is so much strain, so much pressure to get the job done, conflicts with their children, the neighbor FBI to deal with, the center and so much more and they do it flawlessly. The juggling of multiple story lines and the screenplay is well executed. Noah Emmerich does justice to his character as well. Three seasons are out and the fourth is coming soon. To the fans of the thriller genre and the others, devour this show immediately.
Marvel has done it yet again. If you thought that daredevil was excellent and redefined the superhero tv series genre then believe me, you would surely want to watch Jessica Jones. First things first, Krysten Ritter. She shines throughout the duration of the show. Tormented, determined, powerful she carries all these emotions beautifully and does complete justice to the character. David Tennant. OMG! He just beat Kingpin in terms of the how awesome a villian could be. He is mindblowing. There are times when you are rooting for him and feeling pity for him as well. Thats what his mind control can do to you. Yes, it's that powerful! His dialogues and action especially in the episodes A.K.A Top Shelf Perverts, A.K.A WWJD and A.K.A Sin Bin is beyond anything worldly. You get to see the cold hearted, sadistic bastard he portrays. Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker was equally good as well. The best episode of the series was Sin Bin. The show is a must for all superhero and thriller noire fans. It is very well crafted, has a beautiful story and is brilliantly executed.
