Another masterpiece from David Lynch
Glamour, struggle, nudity, revenge and a pursuit to find the truth. Mullholland Drive has got everything that a thriller based in hollywood should have but it is unlike any movie anyone has ever seen.
After getting involved in a car wreck Rita loses her memory. She then teams up with Betty( Naomi Watts), a wannabe actress, in search of clues to get her memory back. The movie is obscure with random characters popping out in scenes where you have no idea what's going on, but David Lynch does enough to keep the audience interested throughout by the brilliant twist of mysticism. You just know that there is a twist at the end but I can bet my soul that the smartest of the smart movie-watchers won't be able to predict the twist.
David Lynch shows his genius by the way he misleads his audience throughout the movie. In a certain scene he directly asks the audience not to believe what they see and even then everybody is deceived. Powerful performances from Naomi Watts, Laura Helling and Justin Theroux and the absurd characters make it a entertaining watch.
To be totally honest not everyone is going to like this movie. Not everyone is even going to understand the movie but if you're a person who likes a movie that compels you to think, a person that enjoys allegories then this is just the movie for you. Mullholland Drive is a masterpiece in the sense that it is very unlikely that two persons will derive the same conclusion after watching the movie as it varies with the variation of people's perspectives

One of the best Sitcoms ever made
One of the lead characters of the show pitches the idea of a tv show to NBC, a show about nothing. That's what Seinfeld is, a show about nothing. Seinfeld has four friends living in New York, which is what most sitcoms are about right? A group of friends hanging out. But that is the only similarity that Seinfeld has with any other sitcom. Nobody is looking for the love of their life, nobody has any dreams or aspirations of making it big, its just four friends living their life.
The characters lack any sort of moral principles which add to its appeal and gives its very own twist of dark humour. The brilliance of Seinfeld is how it makes the most mundane of situations into something absolutely hilarious. Whole episodes are made with the simplest of plots such as the group going out for dinner or going to watch a movie which are as hilarious as the best episodes of FRIENDS or How I Met Your Mother. The characters are lovable although they lack any sort of human sympathy. Seinfeld is not just another sitcom though, certain episodes has some deep social messages and the show uses satire to convey this messages. ("The Outing" satirises how people in our society try to act liberal on homosexuality but get offended as soon as they are implied as homosexual)
If you are of a fan of sitcoms and haven't watched Seinfeld yet then you have no idea what you are missing out on. Your opinion about the best sitcom ever has a pretty good chance of changing after watching Seinfeld
