Masterpiece!
Kota Factory is a drama web series by TVF. Kota Factory highlights the life of students going through the journey of preparing for IIT in Kota. Kota Factory stands out solely on the fact that it is India's first black and white web series which I believe adds to it's brilliant cinematography. It is a drama series which balances the scale of drama and does not let it become too dramatic or emotional. The dialogues and acting are the strengths of the series. The friendship between the three protagonists which forms the backbone of the story will make you remember your school days. TVF has been bringing out great original content and Kota Factory is just another feather in their cap.

Ghoul is an Indian web series by Netflix. It takes place in a dystopian future where autocracy has takn hold of India. The paranormal genre has not been explored much in India making Ghoul feel like a breath of fresh air and whatever has been done has been underwhelming and unoriginal. One complaint that you won't have with Ghoul is the jump scares. Jump scares feel like a cheap attempt to induce horror thus cheating the audience of a true experience. But one complaint you will have will be the backgrounds of characters not coming to fruition, something you can relate with every GoT fan. Ghoul is an honest attempt which is reflected by the casts terrific performance and engaging three episodes.

Hard-hitting!
Delhi Crime is an Indian crime thriller web series by Netflix. It's story follows the aftermath of 2012 Delhi gang rape case. It isn't your everyday crime show where there is a crime committed and a super smart cop solves it within the time limit and is the hero at the end of the day. This is real , involving real people, real details without trivialization. Delhi Crime will hit you in your guts and will mess with your emotions. It goes into gore that makes you wish this was a fictional show. What is commendable about the show is apart from great acting, it is engaging. For a show which is not dramatized, it is a really good feat. Even for adults, this might be hard to watch, you will see the worst of humanity portrayed accurately.

Worthy of your time
Made in heaven is an Indian web series by Amazon Prime Video. Helmed by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, the story follows the journey of Tara Khanna and Karan Mehra who are business partners and plan weddings. What makes the show binge-worthy is it's accurate portrayal of high class society of Delhi, it is everything you see in real life. Along with it's core storyline something which has been handles really well is that the protagonist (Karan) is gay. To bring a gay character on screen and do it justice is not something many shows can boast of, but this show does. If you want to watch fiction which feels real, hits you hard, then go for it.

Brilliant!
Sacred Games is an Indian crime thriller by Netflix. It came into limelight because it was the first Indian original series by Netflix. It is based on a book of the same name by Vikram Chandra. And true to the hype, it delivered. Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte take you into the underbelly of crime in Mumbai. It's commercial appeal as well as critical acclaim is the reason for it's huge success. The story, the dialogues, the narration, all make you excited for what's ahead. Season 1 finished on a cliffhanger and that is one of the many reasons why people are so eagerly waiting for the second season.

Outstanding!
Mirzapur is an Indian crime thriller web series by Amazon Prime Video. This is by far Amazon's most ambitious Indian project. It boasts of a great story and a superlative cast and it delivers on both fronts. The main cast led by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rasika Dugal, Harshita Gaur, Divyendu Sharma and Kulbhushan Kharbanda are stellar. It is set in UP's Mirzapur where one person calls the shots, Kaleen Bhaiyya. Two local boys rise in ranks to work with him and ultimately challenge his superiority. A thoroughly enjoyable show which will keep your attention for the whole time.

Strictly Mediocre
Four More Shots Please! is an Indian web series by Amazon Prime Video. It follows the story of four young girls in the city which is Mumbai. The characters are well-written but poorly executed, they feel out of symphony at times and lose the continuity from story line. All four protagonists Sayani Gupta, Gurbani, Kirti Kulhari and Maanvi Gagroo put up a decent act. Even the supporting cast including Lisa Ray, Millind Soman and Prateik Babbar are very effective. It is not a chick flick but it also doesn't take itself seriously and this is where it suffers. Better writing could've elevated the show and brought meaning to it. Watch at your own risk!

Amazing!
Hostages in an Indian crime thriller web series by Hotstar and is an official adaptation of an Israeli series of the same name. It is based on an intriguing premise that a surgeon and her family are held hostage by masked men to pressurize the surgeon into kill the Chief Minister during a surgery. It stars Ronit Roy and Tisca Chopra in leading roles and they are outright brilliant. They are the soul of the show. The screenplay is at a good pace and utilizes the 10 episode duration. It is difficult to stop when you have begun watching it. The show does not let down the viewers and is an example of what good acting and equally good script can do. This is one crime thriller which should be on your watch-list.

Underwhelming
Mind the Malhotras is an Indian web series from Amazon Prime which borrows it's format from the Israeli comedy La Famiglia. The season follows the lives of the Malhotras, their relationship with each other. The show feels a letdown if you have watched Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and other acclaimed comedy shows. The big three, Cyrus Sahukar, Mini Mathur and Denzil Smith play their parts to perfection and carry the series on their shoulders. The rest of the actors are unable to make an impact. It is a feelgood journey which is best experienced with your family. The writing is underwhelming. The show feels fresh yet stale. In fact, that sums up the entire show in a sentence.
