Imagine planning a getaway with your closest friends after you get married. The fun, the chaos and all the laughter that are to come make you all excited about the trip and you land up at your friend’s beautifully built resort. Only to find out that the place is haunted. And not by one ghost but by quite a handful number of ghosts. Booo: sabki phategi is an AltBalaji original and is a horror series that will makes you hoot with laughter. The show is comprised with a star studded cast, renowned in the stream of comedy genre and the various ghosts who want to add their own spooky effect to the whole scenario. Though there is not much of an interesting plot, still the few laugh out loud moments make it a good watch. One person that took every scene he came in is the blind caretaker Nainsukh who is the light of the whole show and has put up a commendable performance along with the rest of the cast. It is a light hearted show and a good one at that.

Hum: I’m because of us is an AltBalaji original which comes out like your regular daily soap drama. The direction and acting is remarkable but there is nothing new to the plot of the story. The story is centered on three sisters who love each other to the core and would not even blink an eye before doing something for them. Each sister has a different personality and is unique in her own way. You get the calm and poised sister, the high aimed sister and the quirky and smart mouthed sister. Yet their love for each other is purely selfless and makes your heart fuzzy. Thus enters a handsome hunk who is a big flirt and beds female like a regular thing. The story line has not much to offer but the climax is quite impressive and leaves viewers wondering about what’s next.

I believe there is no better genre than the horror and thriller ones. Typewriter is a Netflix original of the same genre where 3 young best friends are wannabe ghost busters. I really disliked the over attempt the makers did to make the show spookier. I believed the moments that were tried to make the show scarier made it more uninteresting. But with that said, to say the show was not good would be huge injustice to the team. The show has a capturing plot and impressive dialogues and the performance of the whole cast is remarkable. Although the scary moments could have been improved but still the show makes for quite a good watch.

Xxx uncensored by AltBalaji is nothing short of a B-grade film with unnecessary amount of sex scenes placed randomly in the show. I personally did not like this show at all because of a lot of reasons. There is no such storyline of this show and nothing too engrossing or exciting about this show. There is a lot of dirty talking which was more like a cringe fest and gross at times. Each episode has one adult scene which is nothing too look forward to or anything. No plot and not much of a good direction, this show offers nothing good to watch.

Cheers- Friends. Reunion. Goa brings a breath of fresh air with its light hearted storyline and nostalgic outrush of emotions. The story is centered on four friends, who meet after 5 years of passing out from college. Cue the fun and drama. The group reminisces about their college days and the grand fun they had in their college days. But that is not all. A lot of closed wounds are reopened just to be stitched properly. Many required confrontations happen but in the end it only tightens their friendship in the end and leaves them more closely knit than before. The storyline is good but its execution is not up to the mark and thus disappoints in the long run.

Created by Blush channel, you, me and galatfehmi presents nothing fresh and is kind of lame in my opinion. It does not give much to look forward to either. The show has only 2 episodes which act as two faces of a coin. Misunderstandings in a relationship are extremely toxic and this show has its whole focus on this. Insecurities creep in Ritu and Amit’s happy lives like a termite and bring a new challenge in their life every day. The show has a good lesson but it still fails to make an impact on the mind of the viewers.

‘Dishaheen Navyuva Helpline For Clueless Millennial’ is a cleverly placed show where a family of three gives quirky and smart replies to the millennial who contact them for their millennial issues. I have to start with dadi who is an absolute sweetheart and the life of the show for me. The light argument between dadi and her daughter in law and the way the son is stuck in between is extremely amusing and enjoyable. Though the show follows a repetitive plot throughout the episodes, still it is very intriguing and entertaining. The problems that the millennial put forth are quite childish, humorous and neurotic but nevertheless comical to a good extent. It is not the best series but it is definitely a good one.

One thing that has always fascinated me is royalty. I remember watching ‘Khoobsurat’ and being charmed by the royal lifestyle and their traditions. Another thing which is famous about the royalty is their cooking secrets. The seven episode series of ‘The Royal Palate’ presented by the celebrity chef Kunal Kapur in association with TVF and Behrouz Biryani discovers the secrets of the royal kitchens and their culinary enigmas. The extensive research done by chef Kapur for this show is really commendable and deserves applause for his dedication towards this show. Being a foodie, this entire show was a treat to my eyes.

What’s your status is a refreshing and hilarious story of three people in different stages of relationship, single, committed and married. I binge watched the whole series and I do not feel like anyone would be able to stop when they start watching this joyride. It is perfect blend of feelings like romance, affection, understanding, friendship and truthfulness for a healthy relationship. The direction, story line, cast and the dialogues are top notch and leave a person light hearted. The whole series is engrossing and capturing and loved every second of it. It makes up for a good break from the stressful lifestyle,

Zero KMS is a Zee5 original of thriller genre. The plot of the series is quite interesting and capturing but the plot holes do not go unnoticed and quite ruins the impact that the story could have had on the viewers. First season of the series has been done with but still a lot of questions remain unanswered which becomes a little frustrating as a viewer. The show has plenty of gory moments but I believe it is commendable how the director and the writers kept it low so that it does not pinch the eyes much. the show makes for a good watch but nothing too ever lasting impact one.
