Collection of not so sweet romance!
Love on The Rocks , as the name suggests shows the complicated phases and layers of love. The series grapples with the questions of love, identity, compatibility, loyalty and trust. It's not a single script driven show. It's a series of complicated love stories which do not necessarily meet the demands of the "happily ever after" by retaining the practicality of the entire situation. The director, script writer and the actors have never actively indulged in overacting any scene or situation. Keeping in the mind the above factors, the script resonates with the common or the mundane life. Amateur as well as professional actors are in the cast but not one of them move beyond their periphery of adding any new substance to their respective characters. Even though the series depicts situations of complicated love it somehow becomes confused with the concept itself. The series is easily available on youtube. It's under the banner of MensXP. People who want to watch a more realistic approach to love and relationships can enjoy this show but harsh critics will find the writing rather lousy and lethargic.

Could have been a better cliché
Summer Love is a web orginal by Teeli and one can easily find it on Youtube. The series is rather slow-paced and boring. It doesn't strike a chord with the viewers. The series basically follows the story of two interns Nida-a perfectionist and Sami - a chilled and laidback sort of guy and how they end up falling for each other even though they are poles apart. Both the actors try their best to stay committed to their roles, but fail in executing it. To be honest, we cannot entirely blame them, the script is slack and lacks crisp. Even though the show tries to stay afloat with its cliché plot but it gets reduced to being a part of one of the many "OPPOSITES ATTRACT" themed series. The script could have been better in terms of execution and the story could have been more vibrant and diverse by introducing a few complications and necessary comic relief instead of the unnecessary ones.

"First Love" Done Right!
Do you still remember the way your heart skipped a beat on seeing your crush? That unexplained smile you wore on your face at once , whenever you had a eye contact with her/him? Those endless efforts you took just to get that one glance of that special person? And of course how can we forget the lengths you had to go to extract information about your crush. The series does exactly that. It explores and captures the feelings and emotions revolving around one's first love.
Set against the backdrop of a tuition center, the story revolves around Rajat's first love Ishita and how his friends Anusha and Pandey help him out in his quest to win Ishita's heart. Not just his friends, but his chemistry sir also helps him out with his dilemmas and issues associated with love and friendship. I must say, his tutor does a rather good job of convincing and helping him out in the end. Rajat is a studious and meritorious student who falls for the "new-girl" on the block Ishita, who happens to be equally brilliant in academics. Because of his shy demeanour he finds it difficult to approach Ishita, but due to continuous push from his friends Pandey and Anusha he finally approaches her. But to know what happens in the story further, you need to watch the series. It's a very lighthearted romance which will definitely make you reminiscent of your first love or perhaps your first crush. It's cute, sweet and innocent.
You can watch the series on TVF play app. So grab your popcorn, sheekanji and a tub of ice cream to enjoy the series with it's ups and downs. ISA KAWAI FREN LOG!

"Dude, we are so adulting right now." This is probably the most go-to and overused line I'll ever use in my entire life. Let's just take a moment and consider our roles as active and responsible citizens. Tons of bills to pay, making ends meet with the last withdrawn cheque, trying to cook anything other than maggi, trying not to pass out in a bar after gulping down three vodka shots, keeping the music low kyunki "aunty police bola legi" , laughing at unnecessary and unfunny jokes for an appraisal or a promotion and what not. These are the few cons of living the so-called liberated , out-of-our parent's home "ADULT" life. You must be wondering why do I bother to take a detour rather than writing a plain review and be done with my job. You see, without the detour I cannot even come close to explaining the plot, because the detour sort of "says it all". Adulting is a coming-of-age story of two adult roommates Nikhat and Ray, living in the urban Mumbai who happen to be "adulting" their way through life while navigating professional and personal relationships. The show makes you feel good and leaves you with a smile on your face. Their journey as "adults" has to stand the test of friendship, bonding, peer pressure , social pressure among others. The writing tries to keep pace with the current times but fails to convince the viewers of it's practicality. Yes, no doubt the issues are there, they try to address it but somehow you can feel something is missing and mind you it's not the actors brilliant performances but something else. I've always felt that the show somehow failed to address the rather deep-rooted and problematic areas of living on your own and fending for yourself. Nonetheless, it tries to portray the trials and tribulations of
an adult and does so in a half-convincing manner. But still the show manages to stay afloat and it doesn't deter from stretching your lips into a smile. Viewers who are into adult dramas or bittersweet navigation of relationships will probably like the show. You can easily watch it on youtube under the banner of Filtercopy.
