New King of HBO
After the failing to entertain the fans with the last season of Game of Thrones with it's disappointing ending, many fans had started petitions addressing HBO to remake the Season 8 and portrayed their anger but...

That is when, HBO dropped the bomb called "Chernobyl" on our heads. Yes, it's a bomb indeed, the historical nuclear reactor incident named, the Chernobyl Disaster of 1986. After watching episode 1, one can say this was what the fans were waiting for from HBO in 2019. This was much more than any much awaited mini-series can offer.

The 5 episoded series, with its breathtaking cinematography and mind blowing background scores, this is a sheer gem. While the show also serves a lot of political drama (which again we don't know are true or not), but, what has been shown is highly believable and worth watching. With so much scientific and political drama and facts keeping you at the edge of your seat, I can say the better half of the controversial facts shown in this drama is true. Though, everybody has their own take in the same story.

This series is a must watch with Jared Harris and Stellan SkarsgÄrd's constant arguments about the outcomes of any action they take on the reactors, balancing out the scientific and political views in between them to Jessie Buckley's calm character that kept trying to bring out solutions to stop the widespread of the radioactive chemicals that's already in the air.

Making a mini series on a worldwide known incident like Chernobyl, which is yet still highly controversial with the take of USSR in this incident, this was a challenge to recreate and they have won this challenge.

Johan Renck has created a masterpiece that has surpassed top shows like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad in it's viewership and ratings.

This show is a must watch for every human being no matter how dark or disturbing the actual story might be because this is something, that has happened 33 years ago and most, who have witnessed or known of it then, aren't alive today. People who are alive right now, needs to watch this because yes we all have read about this disaster in our History/Geography/Environmental Studies class, in school but, this is the visual representation of that incident, and we all know, we truly believe what we see from our own two eyes.

Confused yet Entertaining
Just like the name states, all this series contains is "love, "lust" and lots of "confusion".

It's not like, all the time you want to what serious dark themed series/movies right? For times when you just want to sit back and relax while watching something entertaining which can be relatable to, if not your own life, your friends, Love Lust & Confusion is a must watch.

In today's world, not only guys but girls are hella confused, especially when it comes to who them like and who they love. You might be in a serious relationship and think the stranger in front of you is hot which brings up new thoughts in your mind. Now, especially in a time when you are about to get married, lots of last minute thoughts enter your mind, even the ones which are unnecessary and create a mess inside your brain.

"Galat time pe, galat cheezey dimaag mein aati hai", this is a common issue with any guy or girl in our age.

Mixing all these last minute drama (before her marriage), Poroma is confused between her lust for one guy, hiding a hideous truth (hoes over bros code) from her best friend, and keeping her engaged life with her childhood sweetheart Karan.

Life is full of confusion when it comes to us youngsters and surviving through it with problematic drama never leaving you, is a worthwhile drama series.

Must Watch
I'd definitely like to thank Zoya Akhtar for make this beautiful piece of drama in the theme of a big fat Indian wedding scenario. Showing content of struggling adults who identify themselves as a part of the LGBTQ community in our country, it has been beautifully projected by Karan Mehra's character.

While the show deals with a lot of heavy topics and involves a lot of characters (that don't leave us satisfied with their role) in the flamboyish, extravagant, glamorous weddings, the internal struggles of Tara and Karan won our heart. Both have their separate inner demons and issues with surviving in the society. Kudos to Arjun Mathur and Sobhita Dhulipala for the role.

Lastly, thank you Vivek Anchalia for putting forth the issues in our Indian society in such a manner that, even if it's for the sake of entertainment, people will watch it and then later think about it in serious note because there are many who'd rather avoid topics like this. Thank you for writing this beautiful version of the big fat Indian wedding including today's peak points of controversies and struggles.

Worth every penny spent
The perfect cat and mouse chase to be watched in 21st century.

Adapted from Vikram Chandra's novel, this mini series can be titles one of the best adaptations made by Indian Filmmakers. One's who have read the actual novel would say that a lot of plot twists and engaging parts were either eliminated or not executed as brilliantly as it were wrote by Vikram Chandra but, with the limitations of filmmaking in the Indian scenario, especially for a web series, Sacred Games couldn't be made any better. I have read the book after I had watched the series and yes, I felt a bit less connected to some of the characters and their relationship in the series than in the book but, not everything can be projected with every detail from a text to on screen.

Sacred Games might come of as a typical cat and mouse chase between police and a gangster but it is so filled with pot twists, emotions, cliffhangers, it will attract every single Indian to watch this and will keep them engaged throughout. From episode 1 to episode 8, the perfect grasp on characters, emotions and the plot, Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap have made a master piece. I guess this will be added as another raw emotion wrecking work by Anurag Kashyap, adding onto his collection after Gangs of Wasseypur.

Lastly, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan have nailed their character. While I might not be a fan of Saif, his work in Sacred Games have earned my respect. Nawazuddin Siddiqui owned the character of Ganesh Gaitonde. There couldn't have been any other person on this planet to play the role. His acting, his dialogue deliverance, every single thing was top notch. The whole country went frenzy for his character and started to act like him who is rather playing the antagonist in the series. One of the best villains of this country. Nawazuddin Siddique deserves all respect for his amazing work.

Whoever hasn't watched it yet, go watch it because, "kabhi kabhi sabko bhagwaan banne ka mann toh hota hai"

Heart-Warming
Being a '90s kid, this show was a straight nostalgia for me. I can literally connect with each and every episode of the series. Dealing with issues in school, family problems, growing up, change in thinking process, generation gap, everything is touched upon so cleverly, you cannot help but connect with it. You can be from any part of the world and grow up under any circumstance but you will be able to re-connect your childhood with this series. The story is very simple yet, heart warming and hits you with multiple emotions. This is a must watch if anybody hans't seen this gem by TVF yet.

As exciting as it's teasers were, Four More Shots didn't reach upto it's expectations. I was really excited to watch this mini series and had took Amazon Prime Video subscription too but, it wasn't worth it. The show had a hold on it's theme of being feminist and sex-comedy but after sometime, it felt pointless. I felt the plot of this mini series lost it's excitement. I loved the friendship between Sayani Gupta, Gurbani Judge, Kirti Kulhari and Maanvi Gagroo's characters but the whole scenario in the story felt unnecessary. Many social issues are addressed here but they could have been expressed and dealt with is a better way. It didn't reach up to my expectations. At first, it was very indulging but it the show lost it's track somewhere in the middle

Sohini Das reviewed Ghoul
Yet another gem starring Radhika Apte. One of the must watch mini-series of Netflix revolving around paranormal creatures. While, it might not be the best in the genre of Horror, it is a good attempt and start from the Indian context. While the series has a weaker storyline, considering only three episodes, it is a nice attempt to start with from Indian filmmakers. Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul's acting were, as usual, top notch. Overall, the series could have been a bit better.

Heart-warming
Yet another amazing story by TVF which casts Sumit Vyas. The India audience generally gets tired of watching the sappy romance and mainly tune into Hollywood rom-coms but TVF's Permanent Roommates changed their perspective. A rom-com which starts with a long-distance relationship to a sudden liv-in situation, where Mikesh (Sumit Vyas) is crazy in love and wants to just marry his long distant girlfriend, Tanya (Nidhi Singh) thinks it's too soon especially for people who meet for the first time in 3 years after a long-distant relationship. With Mikesh's naivity and Tanya's negativeness towards their relationship, which she thinks seems to be failing, this couple is literally the recipe of disaster. How this couple made it till the end is still a surprise to me, but they did. Overcoming numerous hardships and change of emotions, this love story wins over your heart with the perfect amount of comedy and romance in it.

Mind-Blowing
This is a incident that almost every Indian citizen knew about but still, it was needed to be said.

This is an adaptation needed to be made to "show" people the cruelty of the incident that had taken place in the same country they have been living in since birth. This is incident changed the face of this country, the judgement of people. I really want to give Richie Mehta, a standing ovation for writing and adapting this cruel incident and nailed it on Indian web. Especially, what happened after the actual incident back in 2012, how were the culprits finally caught and punished for such a crime, needed to be said and I believe Shefali Shah nailed her character of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, along with actors Rasika Dugal, Adil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang.

This is not a series that is meant to be binge-watched. It hits you so hard, you won't even be able to sleep at night by yourself. It meant to be seen one episode at a time and each episode takes it's own to register in your brain.
It is a masterpiece.

Mind-Blowing
This series tells us the story of everything that happens between siblings of any kind. It portrays all kind of emotions between three siblings. Three adults who haven't seen or heard from each other are suddenly stuck with each other on a road trip with trouble chasing after them is the best form of refreshment any human beings want. From Amol Parashar's "Baba , you're beautiful", to Sumit Vyas' "tu Rajneeti ki Katrina Kaif ki tarah saree pehenke kyu ghum rahi hai" to Maanvi Gagroo's "WTF! tera baccha ho gaya?", every single dialogue exchanged between Chitvan, Chandan and Chanchal keeps you hooked to the series. You'd often think how are these three even siblings, they are so different but at the same time you will find hundreds of reasons proving just how close these siblings are.

This series actually inspired a lot of viewers to actually get in touch with their siblings and go on family road trips. It reconnects you, resurfaces all those secrets you were dying to let out, and brings back those sweet, funny memories. Nothing beats uncertain adventure between three siblings to never see eye to eye on the road.
