Tapsee Pannu really has developed a niche for choosing scripts, and she's really going good at it.

Described as a psychological thriller, it deals with the effect of anniversary reaction and what trauma a woman faces when something disturbing happens with her. I'm talking about a woman only because the movie is centered around one.

Tapsee Pannu nails her role, and looks convinced in each frame. Rest of the cast is fine.

Score is gripping, and the writing is enough to keep you hooked to the screens.

Overall, a winner.

PS: I'm not writing a long post because there's a fear that I might spill out any spoilers, which I really don't want to.

Adonis keeps you hooked
As soon as the show was announced, I knew this one's a winner. I have read Bilal Siddique, and knew the verdict much before. And it's clear, this is a winner.

Storyline:
Three agents go to Balochistan on a high octane mission, to rescue 4 Indian agents captured there.

It's as simple as this, but the plot itself deals with a lot of politics and emotions, to keep you equipped, not just with action, but with everything a spy thriller could. The series is spread on 7 episodes, each quoted with Shakespeare, and every single episode ends on a cliffhanger. This sounds as a cliche, but the old tradition doesn't miss out on giving a new taste.

Acting:
Nothing much to say here. Emraan Hashmi dons a new style, much unlike his old, romantic image. Rest of the cast just plays a supporting role, so nothing much to say of that.

Score:
Mediocre I'd say. It's not that gripping, and if you're expecting some Sacred Games level score, sorry to say, you'll be disappointed.

Direction and Cinematography are really good, and it doesn't seem like an Indian show. tastes much of Hollywood.

In the end, I'd say this show deserves a watch. The ending of each episode is enough to keep you hooked. This is really something espionage thriller lovers have been waiting for.

You might have cried, I know.
*SPOILER REVIEW AHEAD!*

When I left the theater after Infinity War, I was shaken as to what had happen. I was astounded.
But when I left the theater after this, I was broken, but satisfied. They did justice to these characters with whom we spent almost a decade.

Avengers Endgame, the 22nd outing from Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a culmination of all the events that have happened until now. The characters, the story-lines, the character arcs, everything- it is a conclusion to the decade long Marvel events.

Story:
The plot picks up right where Infinity War left. The snap happened, half of the characters got dusted away, and the world has been broken into pieces. Tony is in spaces, glooming over the loss of his apprentice Peter. He's about to die the next day, until Captain Marvel arrives and rescues him and Nebula, along with the ship. But Tony is sick as hell, and the rest of the team decides to get the stones back from Thanos(who is enjoying his retirement plan). But they are shocked to learn that he reduced the stones to atoms. Thor kills him right away, now going for the head. Five years later, Scott lang escapes from the quantum realm(as seen in Ant Man and the wasp) with the help of the mighty rat(strange), and escapes his Time Heist plan of retrieving the stones from the past, to bring everyone back. And then we have the real action.

Acting:
I guess it'll be hard for the academy to consider as to whom should they nominate for the Oscars among the six because all six of them-Chris, Robert, Chris(H), Scarlett, Paul and Jeremy nailed their role. The whole focus of the film was on them and they did fab with their job. Apart from them, I liked Paul Rudd. Their was no one else who got attention in the film apart from them, except Alexandra Rabe, Tony Stark's daughter. Although she didn't have that much of scenes, but what she had was really emotional and cute at the same. I really felt sorry for her in the end, seeing her face when the hologram of Tony was played.

Visual Effects:
It's a trademark of every Marvel film. This is not DC's Justice League, where in the process of removing a mustache, you spoil the face. Everything visual frame in this film was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious(tremendous I mean). Right from recreating The battle of New York(2012), to showing the grand entry(Portals) in the end, everything was top-notch. Atleast now they don't deserve a nomination. Goddammit, they deserve an Oscar.

Music:
Alan Silvestri again struck the right cord. It perfectly corresponds to the scene. He used themes from many films, and combined them into a single note, which was actually fabulous. Portals always gives me goosebumps, and The Real Hero makes me cry. But The Main Theme energizes me. One just can't get over it, can't they?

What more can I talk about this film? It was perfect from every angle and every dimension. Credits to Russo Brothers for not playing with our hype and giving us their best product. One would surely their favorites. But having lived in this era is an honor. Certainly we learned from our parents-I am your dad, or in Indian context-Tum mujhe chhod ke nahi ja sakte Jai. But now we can tell our next generation that we had the privilege of watching-I AM IRON MAN!

They avenged, didn't they?

A Classic Tale Redefined at the best.
After hearing the title, you might think about the 1976 classical love story. You're right, but this time that same old tale has been told in a very fresh setting. Unexpected love, family barriers, but freshness in its narrative makes it truly original.

Plot:
The plot is very predictable. A boy and a Girl fall in love, their familiesare against this love, they are being separated, and all romance. Its all the same.
The screenplay is quite fresh and engrossing. It'll keeped you hooked to the plot. The narrative is good.

Acting:
Avinash tripathi steals your heart. He is just the talent bollywood deserves. It might have been a tough role for him, but he nailed it perfectly. Majnu's romance, his heartbreak, his madness, he nails each and every aspect of his character.
Tripti was also good. Her role wasn't that challanging, but she did justice to her part. rest of the cast did a decent job.

Music:
It is the TSP of this film. All the songs ofthis film are melodious. O meri Laila might have become one of my favourites. Aahista was also good. All the songs did justice to the screenplay.

Cinematography:
Sayak hattacharya has perfectly nailed the cinematography of this film. The wide valleys of Kashmir, the lakes, all looked so enchanting. Hats off to this man.

Verdict:
If you are in need of a romantic plot which actually does some justice to its theme, then this is the perfect watch for you.

Admirable, but not enjoyable
This film didn't generate much buzz when it was announced. Although the book by Sanjaya Baru did. The trailer did generate a sort of controversy, which might have added to the buzz.

Plotline & Screenplay:
This film takes on the life of dr. Manmohan Singh, who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014, and the internal politics to which he fell prey of.
The trailer made the story very clear. It was just that the people were excited to watch the inside of PMO.
The screenplay was good, but it lacked taste. It made the film serious. The film was more of a documentry, presented through the eyes of Sanjaya baru, who served as the Media Advisor to the PM. Though there was some humour between the film, but i'm pretty sure that those who favour masala will surely dislike this film.

Acting:
Anupam Kher lives his character throughout the film. He is just the right Dr. Manmohan Singh. You'll always feel that he is not Anupam Kher. You'll never realise that. His voice modulation, his walking style, his expressions, are all just the same.
Akshaye Khanna did a great job. We all know how fine an actor he is, and he never fails to prove that. He also broke the fourth wall and talked to the audiences in between.

Direction & Music:
Debutant Vijay Ratnakar Gutte did a great job. His direction was really good. He never made the film deflect from the track.
Talking about the music, there are no songs in the film. But the background music keeps you glued to the screen.

Verdict:
If you are a drama admirer, go atch this film. You'll surely love it.

This Yash starrer is a must watch.
KGF:Chapter 1 is a Kannada action film starring Yash, Srinidi Shetty and others.

When I heard about this movie, I thought it's a complete sillyness to have it clash with Srk's Zero. But I am completely wrong(I am not criticising Zero since I haven't seen it yet). This film has all the elements of a classic action movie- style, drama, action, music. It's a complete action packed entertainer that you'll definitely love.

Plotline & Screenplay:
The plot tells the story of a goon who wants to become the most powerful man. His ambitions take him to his destiny where much bloodier things await him: Kolar Gold Fields.
The screenplay is that of a non-linear narrative. It jumps back and forth between 1981 & 2018, narrating the story of Yash' character, Rocky. It is quite fast-paced, the scene does not remain for long. The first half was comparitively much more faster than the second one. You'll never know how the time passes. Sometimes it might become a bit hard to keep pace with the scene, but if "you are" watching the film, it'll be fine. There were a lot of characters introduced in the first half, and you might get confused in that. Maybe that's because of the editing. It could have been a bit steady.

Acting:
Yash delivers a performance of the lifetime. He has done an impeccable job. You can't just take off your eyes off him when he is on the screen. He is charming, attractive, stylish. He perfectly delivers his emotions in every scene. Rest of the cast did a good job, but I think they weren't given that much of prominence. They might not look menacing, but the screenplay make them look so.

Music & Direction:
The music of the film is good. I liked the songs. The bgm is one of the X-factors of the film. it is enough to give you goosebumps. Salaam Rocky Bhai introduces us to Rocky and his menace. Gali Gali song was also good.
Prashant Neel has done a great job in directing the film. His writing too is excellent. Hats off to his efforts.

Verdict:
Go watch this film, and you'll come out of the theatre with an anticipation for its sequel.

Best scene:
[Minor Spoiler]
When Rocky stops the traffic for a mother with a child who is desparate for a bun.

The best of the thriller.
Recent years have been quite profitable for the South Indian movies. Examples are Baahubali, Eega, Enthiran, 2.0, and many more. But there have been some underrated films that might have not got the right marketing, but had a terrific word of mouth. Ratsasan is one such kind of movie. It's a psychological thriller directed by Ramkumar, and stars Vishnu Vishal, Amala Paul and others.

Plotline and Screenplay:
The plot starts off with a murder. [You might consider this to be a spoiler, but it sets the right tone for the film] Later, the cops identify that they are dealing with a psycho-killer. The rests of the turns forms the rest of the plot.

The tone of the film is dark and disturbing. But the film features no such elements which might make the film A-rated. Some elements might be disturbing, but it doesn't affect much. The writing and screenplay of the film is very interesting, and gripping. You can't just loose your mind even for a second. That is the reason why the film is a gem. I thought that Gone Girl was the best psychological thriller I've ever seen. But this film makes me think again. Hats off to Ramkumar. Laudable Efforts!

Acting:
All the cast did a good job. Vishnu Vishal was convincing in his cop role. Amala Paul was also good. But Saravanan steals the main show.[ I wouldn't talk about his character, since it is a spoiler. Those who've watched the film will agree to my point]Rest of the cast did a good job.

Music:
It is one of those X-factors of the film that make it interesting. The songs were good.[ Though I don't know Tamil, but the tunes were soulful. I don't listen the song by reading the subtitles. LOL]. The Bgm is the X-factor that makes each and every scene gripping. It's the best combination I've ever seen of both writing and background scores.

Direction:
Along with the writing, music, scores, direction is one of those other factors that makes the film absorbing. Ramkumar did a perfect job. Really, he handles each and every aspect perfectly.

Verdict:
Watch this film with all senses open, otherwise you might miss the entrallness of the film. You'll get absorbed in the film right from the first moment. Hands down to the best psychological thriller I've ever encountered. Really. It's true to say that Regional cinema might now be rising up from the logicless action, or masala elements. The best sleeping thriller of the year.

A must watch mindless, but a lovable comedy drama.
I had never heard about this film before. One day, it was being aired on television, and I found it interesting. So I decided to give it a watch. And, truthfully, I liked this film. Though you might think the logic behind the plot of this film is a bit spurious, but folks, its fictional. And believe me, I consider myself a dumb person while watching such romcoms, or comedy dramas. This film had a good humour, and after watching this film, you might want to relive your college life. The music was good. As I said, the plot is a bit absurd, but funny and enjoyable. The screenplay and writing is good. The performances are good. Special praises to Zac Effron, as he might have saved this film with his unusual and crispy performances. I bet he'll win your heart. Overall, this film is a must watch for teenagers, but others may also enjoy it.

Well commented
Political satires have been around the corner in Indian Cinema. And the last addition to it is Ekkees Toppon ki Salaami. It is a well structured satire with a clear message, but narrated in a quirky way. A boy sets out to give a 21 gun salute to his father, who lived a life out of honesty. The screenplay just focuses on the plot, and gets right on the track after 10-15 minutes. There is no time lost in unnecessary stretched romance. That is the best thing about the film. The performances of each and every actor is good. Be it Divyendu Sharma, Anupam Kher, Aditi Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, all were good to watch. Rajesh Sharma gave the necessary tickles with his rather short but comic screen space. The music was good. I found the film good, and it's social message a worth watch. But you won't enjoy this film more than once. Overall, a good satirical comedy drama much needed today.

Satirical and Humorous in a quirky way
Mohalla Assi is a 2018 film starring Sunny Deol, Sakshi Tanwar and Ravi Kishan in lead roles.

This film had to be released a long time back. But it fell into the nets of CBFC, which rejected to certify the film. It already was bearing these shocks, until the film was leaked on the internet. And then it was postponed indefinately. But then it got a green signal, and it finally made to the theatres in 2018. A long exile!

Plotline and Screenplay:
The plot follows the adventures one might encounter in the holy city of Vanarasi, or here I should say Benaras, through the lives of a priest, a con man, and some other quirky characters, in a very satirical and humorous way.
The film looked more like an adveture diary, where you go on reading the story. It was because of the screenplay, which had its focus on the city and its people. There was no political commentary in the film. I liked this way of narration, to actually depict the common life without any political interference.

Acting and Direction:
The cast has done an impeccable job. They just landed themelves into their respective local characters, with the right tone and accent, and I didn't find any snags in that. This is an impressive task. Kudos.
Chandraprakash Dwivedi has done a marvelous job in capturing the heart and sol of Benaras. The Pandits, the Con-mens, the ladies, the foreign scholars, each and every nuances has been paid great attention. The Abuses might have been a controversial thing, and I agree to thta, but it's just for providing some taste to the film. I think without the abuses, the film might have become a bit dull.

Music:
The music has been inspired from folk music, and I didn't find it that good, but a bit below Okay.

Verdict:
You can surely watch this film, for its satire, humor, abuses, and the performances from the whole cast. I found it enjoyable, and you should do.

Best Scene:
According to me, the scene in which con-men potraying Lord Krishna abuses Sunny Deol's character was the most humorous in the film. I don't know how many times i watched that scene.
