A pleasant ride
A show that comes packed with stunning production design and equally stunning chemistry, will actually make you so glad that it happened in hong kong. While Serendipity crosses the paths of Amol (Amol Parashar), a businessman on his work trip and Aahana (Aahana Kumra), a travel blogger, but their passionate, lock-and-key like pairing holds them together, transforming their solo trips into a shared experience

The characters are multidimensional with a good amount of depth. Actors do a phenomenal job of capturing strong characters who maintain a charming exterior while grappling with their internal struggles. Writing is natural, free-flowing and presents an engaging storyline. The exotic locations have been shot exquisitely.

The protagonists compliment each other quite well. With all the ups and downs in the journey, the classic will they or won't they question will definitely make for an indulging experience.

I have been to a lot of places in the world, because I am a reader and a viewer. Same happened when I watched the series, It happened in Hong Kong, a Viu original. The initial minutes of the show take us on a wonderful voyage to Hong Kong. The four episode series is a mixed pace one and somewhat disappointing at some points. The first and the last episode are really enthralling and exciting but the same cannot be said about the middle episodes. I really liked the backdrop of the whole series and a lot of moments made me go aww during the runtime of the show. Some scenes are exceptionally very cute while some are dragged on unnecessarily. Nevertheless the whole show is a good watch.

A story of two Indians, accidentally bumping into each other in Hong Kong, 'It Happened in Hong Kong' starts off as a carefree, breezy journey into the nooks and crannies of the famous streets of Hong Kong and turns funny and entertaining. There isn't a dramatic main plot, per say, therefore, it is light hearted and is anything but serious. Starring Ahana Kumra and Amol Prashar in the lead roles, the two come together as individuals with their own baggages. A show that is beset with music oozing in almost regular intervals, the brilliant acting by the lead actors is what makes this watchable.

It Happened in Hong Kong is an Indian romance web series by Viu. It follows the story of two strangers who meet in Hong Kong and fall in love. The show doesn't take itself seriously and is meant to be watched as something you watch to pass the time. It is only 4 episodes long, so there is really no story to follow and no characters to build. The show works only because of the leads, Amol Parashar and Ahana Kumra. Apart from sight-seeing Hong Kong, nothing much happens with the characters.

'It Happened in Hong Kong' is about two lone travelers who decide to travel together and how that changes their life. In the maiden webisode, Aahana is travelling alone in Hong Kong, away from all the madness of Bombay. She was laid off from her HR job and she broke up with her boyfriend of 7 years, whom she was scheduled to marry. During her soul searching trip, she is also penning down her travel experiences for a travel book. She accidentally bumps into Amol, an Indian from Delhi who extends his business trip to explore Hong Kong. Amol is trying to come to terms with the loss of his father. And as a tribute to his father, Amol gave up his job as a pilot to take over the family leather business.
Over a cup of coffee, the two decide to spend the remaining days in Hong Kong exploring the city together.
The plot of the web series is very fresh and hence appealing. The locales of Hong Kong are captured well in the episode, so much that you want to go on a trip yourself. Amol and Aahana complement each other very well. It Happened in Hong Kong will give you the same feel, garnished with a story featuring two famous digital stars.
Overall, a good watch!!

It Happened in Hong Kong is a beautiful web-series from the house of Viu India. It revolves around the lives of Aahana and Amol. Aahana has called off her marriage with her seven year relationship partner, and flew to Hong Kong on a solo trip. However, Amol, who was a pilot, after his father's death was looking after his business.
Both of them meet one fine day, in Hong Kong, while they were calling a cab to visit a place, there. They share the cab, and hence their journey begins.
Amol and Aahana decided to take a tour and explore Hong Kong together, which they thought was a great idea. Amol slowly realised that he started developing feelings for Aahana. Aahana was about to write a travelogue- so she always carried her notebook with her. Amol, on getting to know about her birthday from that notebook, arranges for a birthday special candlelight dinner, for her, to make her happy. Slowly, some weird secrets spills up and they move apart from each other.
An year later, when they meet at Mumbai, both of them have a different proposal and decisions, altogether.
Check out all the five episodes on Viu app.
