Pose (2018)

Though I forgot most of what happened in season 1, I think I would've rated it 5 stars.. I'm pretty picky so idk.

Season 2 was beautiful. Pose is a very educational show. It takes place during the 80’s , the height of the AIDS pandemic. It shows how little people knew about the virus and the ignorance that spawned because of it.

Pose is centered around ballrooms: a big part of lgbt culture, and it was very interesting to see a glimpse of it and how important it is/was in those communities.

Papi and Angel were my favorite parts about season 2.

However, Season 2 would’ve better if Blanca or Prey Tell died. They were building up to it and it would've been really profound is they died.

And while we're talking about its faults, let's talk about colorism. Yeah the show was colorist. Look at Candi. Pray tell was so mean to her and she wasn't taken seriously. She a bundle of negative traits: violent, aggressive, and insecure. The show realised it only when she... uh... didn't get the callback.. but by then it was too late.

Pose is overall a wonderful show. I need a season 3. If we never get one, that's fine too. I just really want to see Angel and Papi's wedding.
