Salman Bhai is back on Eid. Last year, he came with a blockbuster movie Bajarangi Bhaijaan. All Non-Salman fans are saying that the movie worked just because of the perfect story and cute little Munni. Bhai's fans were saying Bhai did an outstanding job. Critics said he did a good job not more than that. Yes, I agree with that. But, in this movie, everyone is saying different!
A wrestler's love story - This is what Sultan offers. Pre-interval portion is all about flashback love story of Sultan & Arfa with some funny moments, lot's of music, wrestling and emotional touch at the pick of the interval. Post interval, there is fight championship (just like we saw in Brothers!) with Sultan training under Delhi based gym trainer, come back of him in the ring, and emotional ending like a king!
Salman did a better job than Bhaijaan. His expressions are so real in the fight scenes. Here Munni is Anushka Sharma. Like Bhai's any previous movies, no heroine got a major part. But, Anushka got, and she performed it really well. Even I can say that she's better than Sultan bhai! Kumud Mishra and Amit Sadh are as good as their roles. Randeep Hooda's guest appearance gets more applause and shouts than Bhai's entry.
Cinema-hall creates shouting & cheering three times. First at Bhai's entry, second at Randeep's entry & at the third time, it's Jag Ghumeya song. Best song from this movie is this. Bhai's that dance step is so classic. Other than that, I like peppy song 440 volts, because of it's unique lyrics by Irshad Kamil, Mika Singh's voice and it's choreography and costumes. Personally, I don't like Baby ko bass pasand hai. Sultan's title track is energetic. Others are okay. Music could have been better.
So, what's the new thing in Sultan? Well, I can say, Salman in drawers is the only one! Hahaha, jokes apart, yes it's a family film. You can watch it at your suitable ticket price. Anushka's best performance and Salman's fans around your seats never let your enjoyment down. If the show is full, than you can enjoy it, otherwise like what happened to me, that show is only 35% occupied, so a few shouts were heard, and therefore my friend felt the movie was too long. Though, it has not a single boring portion, but, than also, I'm requesting all the masses to shout out in the screen so everyone gets energetic.
On the whole, Director Ali Abbas Zafar is playing smart with using Salman, as he wants the promotion! Similarity with YRF's Brothers is still in my mind, so I can't say that this is the best film of this year so far. It's even not better than Bajarangi. So, just a one time watch.

Lot's of people and critics are praising about this movie. Some are saying that this is the best of this year up till now. But, frankly speaking, I'm not agree with these kind of statements or even these kind of positive reviews of this movie.
Director Shakun Batra, who earlier directed Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, which was not a hit, comes back with this family drama. I must say it is far better than the previous one.
The major plus point is the screenplay. Scenes have been written so well. Because of that, the shooting schedule had been completed in a shorter time, I guess. Actors are good. Location is suitable. Background score is perfect. And I think, because of the number of twists and turns is more in the post interval part, critics loved this film. But, I want to ask them, what about the boring portions in the first half!?
Alia Bhatt is as cute as she looks earlier in her films. Sidharth Malhotra lacks in acting in some scenes. And I heard this statement from many viewers. Rajat Kapoor is good. Rishi Kapoor is funny and adorable. His make-up is the only time-taking thing in the whole movie.
Two factors that affect the movie are Fawad Khan and Ratna Pathak Shah. She is the best actor of this movie. And for Fawad, if you please don't consider his character, haha, I like him. He looks hot and charming and stylish. So, a hero material has been found. He will go far and up.
Chul song is a waste of time for me. Two background songs are good. Comedy is fine. Bhajan in iPad, Mandakini the heroine, the plumber asking for the money- these are my favorite comic scenes.
So, I think this film is a one time watch. As I've seen Pyar Ka Punchnama 2 as an overrated movie last year, this movie stands for this category in this year. On the whole, I am confuse about what I get from the film. So the praising audience, who find out the meaning of life and relationships from this film, can you help me

Life has to be bigger not longer!
The film, Neerja is a portrayal on the life of the courageous Neerja Bhanot, who sacrificed her life while protecting the lives of 359 passengers in 1986. The flight was hijacked by a terrorist organization in Karachi. How she bravely handled the situation is what the film has been made on.
Director is the real hero of this movie. Ram Madhvani describes every part, every scene of the film very wonderfully. Along with the writers, he is not giving outside of the track and thus, this film is a gem of 2016!
Shabana Azmi has done a fantabulous job in the character of Neerja's mother. Though, she has not much dialogues, but her expressions show her emotions, and they are very real that everyone was crying literally. When she gave a speech on Neerja in the end, I was not able to control my emotions. Tears were flowing continuously. She will be the winner of best supporting actress in the major award ceremony undoubtedly.
Sonam Kapoor has given career best performance. She could've been portrayed her well. But, whatever she has given is acceptable. Yogendra Tikku as Neerja's father and Shekhar as Neerja's friend are good and suitable. The man who portrayed Khalil, the angriest terrorist, has done a fantastic job. He looks like a pure terrorist. Others are good, too.
Music is given by Vishal Khurana and lyrics has been penned by Prasoon Joshi. All the songs are listenable again and again. Background score is also suitable and helps to build the terror as well as the excitement.
Connection to Rajesh Khanna, Neerja's past describing her marriage issue, her father's advises, her handling of the passengers, her smartness of not taking the U.S. citizens' passports, her calmness, her love letter written by her lover, her love towards her duty, her sacrifice - everything is just so perfect. I'm no getting over from it. This is probably one of the best films of this year.
I salute you from the bottom of my heart to Neerja Bhanot, the actual one. She has been rewarded Ashok Chakra by the government of India. Though, Airlift was a good one, but, this deserves support from the audience. This is definitely better than Airlift. Please, it's my humble request to all that go and watch out the story of the brave girl, Neerja.
Her mother told that Neerja was prettier than Sonam. Yes, the photographs in the end credits give the approval to this statement. A girl, aged 23, lost her life while saving the passenger during her job. Watch it and think that where we reached till now! Massive respect!

Another mutant has been created by Marvel, called Deadpool. Because of the last stage of cancer, the hero, Wilson agrees to to an experiment which can survive him so that he can live a life with his love. But, experiment goes wrong and though he becomes a mutant but his skin becomes very ugly. So, he plans to find Francis who can solve the problem of his skin. But, Francis is also a mutant, so the battle between the hero and the villain begins. And this is the story of this film!
Comedy is super cool. Film looks like a pure paisa-wasool masala. It has all double meaning dialogues, and in Hindi, they are just too good. We can feel that these are our own! Two X-Men characters are there, too. Not more, because of the producer's limited budget! Hehe!
Very sharp editing and some scenes are fantastically made with the use of graphics. And don't forget to watch the teaser of the second part in the end, after the end credits. Believe me, it is really funny.
So, one more superhero is in the market. This movie is creating records and collecting money. Sequels will be definitely made. Let's see how long will it go!

Film is based on Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, written & directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina are in the lead as Noor and Firdaus respectively. Tabu is playing the role of Begum and mother of Firdaus. Ajay Devgn, Lara Dutta & Aditi Rao Hydari have cameos in this film. Story is set in Kashmir.
While Noor was about thirteen years old, he fell in love with Firdaus, a daughter of a rich Begum of Kashmir. When Firdaus was sent to London for further studies, Noor became artist by heart. As we all know that loosing the game of love will surely do something for you if you know how to dill with it. So heart broken person Noor has now became an artist, a passionate painter. He was sent to Delhi by his client where he again met Firdaus. Both of them fell in love with each other this time. But as per experiences, Tabu was strictly against this type of true love. So, separation happened once again in the life of Noor-Firdaus. Will they meet again is the question which will be cleared till the end.
Story has many flows. But, missing factor of Fitoor is soul. I was not able to connect myself to the movie. Though somehow I felt that this was something like what was happened to me. But, talking about the point of view of the audience, the film is dull. Only Tabu's character is something to watch, even her younger version which was played by Aditi Rao Hydari, has the main root of the film. As I was wondering that what was the role of Tabu, means was she a negative character or not! This query get solved in post interval part during the presence of Aditi. So that the one part I liked the most is this one.
Aditya Roy Kapoor is as usual. Katrina is as usual dumb. She has no expressions at all. Lara Dutta is good. Ajay is okay. Aditi is superb in her small role. Tabu is the one woman army of Fitoor.
Costumes and sets are gigantic. Kashmir looks as always beautiful. But, my mind is continuously comparing this Kashmir with the Kashmir of Haider. Sometimes it was also comparing Noor with Rockstar's Jordan. Even, Abhishek Kapoor was also compared by Vishal Bhardwaj.
May be that's why, I may not like this film. Because Vishal is at the top. Nobody can touch that line. So, I'm confuse what to say about the direction.
Dialogues are fabulous. Yes, after Tabu, this is the second plus point of the film. Music is the third and last plus point. Yeh Fitoor Mera and Pashmina are so much soulful song. Lyrics have been written by Swanand Kirkire. Background score is also good.
On the whole, if you are just going for a valentine date, then don't go for this. If you are going for something new to watch than only you can go for it. But, it is up to you, you have to made a choice to watch it or not, because I'm not saying anything. It's in Hindi and Urdu language, so lack of knowledge may also disappoint you. Yeh Fitoor Nahi Aasaan...

A short and sweet film directed by Sudha Kongara.
Rajkumar Hirani's second venture as a producer in this year. R. Madhvan is a leading actor, as well as the co producer, too. And some additional dialogues have been written by both of them.
Story is of a girl from Chennai. How she met with boxing coach and what made her to learn the game, are all you find in the first half. There is also a little bit of a love factor, which will not bother you at all. Some songs and funny moments are there, too. Post interval, the effects of politics on the game and the associated people and some fights have been placed. End is obviously predictable, but the manner is good. Even because of no unnecessary scenes and with only around 100 minutes running length, the film is more interesting and engaging than Mary Kom, as per my experience.
Madhavan has acted very well. Looks like a perfect Khadoos coach. Ritika Singh has delivered a good performance, she looks cute as an innocent girl in most of the scenes. Nasser and Zakir Hussain are as usual good.
Music is good. Lyrics by Swanand Kirkire is superb. I'm gonna download the whole album. Swanand has done a cameo, too.
We can say that a nice one time watch movie for this film. It's not a must watch. But, it'll not bore you! Give a chance to this low budget film, as no other good movie is releasing this week.

As this year has been started well with Wazir, the good work of Bollywood is on the road with increasing the speed and performance. Yes, I'm talking about Akshay Kumar starrer Airlift, directed by Raja Krishna Menon, and which is based on true events!
Film starts in Kuwait. Rajiv Katyal (Akki) has been reached on the top level in business with his ability. He refers himself as a Kuwait citizen. But when the government leaves their citizens when Iraq attacks on Kuwait under the order of Saddam Hussain, the people becomes needless. Rajiv now feels that he is an Indian, and so along with other 1,70,000 people who are actually Indians but lives in Kuwait, he starts the mission to run from Kuwait as soon as possible. His tries, his communication to India for the help, and the officer's help from India - These things you can find out in this movie.
Some factors, like emotions of love for the family, for the nation, for the coworkers and their relatives, for the people who are only belongs to the same nation, have been described very well. Many moments where we can feel patriotism. Raja has directed a superb film.
Akshay has given a stunning performance as usual. I was comparing Baby film with this, but both are different. But if you ask for just one movie, than I'll go with this one. Nimrat Kaur is my favorite since The Lunchbox and Dairy Milk commercials. She has delivered a fine supportive job. She shines as a wife of a rich businessman and a caring mother. Kumud Mishra fits absolutely in the character of a government officer. Poorab Kohli has a small role. Supportive cast are fine, too.
De Di and Soch Na Sake are very small songs. Perfectly situated. Tu Bhula Jise is the song to remember. Background score suits to the film.
Dialogues are good. Nimrat's 3/4 minuets long conversation with a unsatisfied man of the camp who always complains, is a must!
Cinematography is good. Some scenes give are shaky, those could have been shoot better. Editing is fine.
Indian flag has been waved by an airport staff of Jordan and Akki is watching that, while Tu Bhula Jise song is playing - the scene has been brought so many whistles and shouts. And than one more, in which Air India plane is taking off, while Akki is watching that and in background Vande Mataram is playing - a truly emotional scene! It will surely gives you goosebumps!
Overall, a must watch movie for every Indians, to know the largest human evacuation. Salute to all the real heroes! Jai Hind!

So, 2016 has been started, and the first movie that I watched this year is Wazir, directed by Bejoy Nambiar. The original story has been written by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. And then crafted by Abhijat Joshi.
Film starts with the marriage of Farhan-Aditi and the song Tere Bin. As the song ends, their daughter has ben introduced, and after that she has been killed during a shootout. So, ATS officer Farhan becomes a disturbed man. His wife also leaves him. He is also get suspended from his job. He breaks down. But then Panditji (Amitabh) has been introduced, who is a paralyzed chess grand-master. Their unusual friendship starts. Panditji helps him how to live with that pain, also reunites the couple. Panditji's daughter has been murdered by a political leader. But, the government refuses the fact. It's up to Farhan, to find the truth. In between, the Wazir (Neil) has been introduced, who is too sharp and smart. Will Farhan be able to find Wazir and the truth of that murder, is the question which will be answered in the film.
Bejoy is a kind of the director of Hollywood movies. His films have always something fresh which weren't shown by any other in Indian Cinema. Slow motion scenes are superb. The scene where Intermission has been displayed is one of the bravest one. No complain in direction. Even the film is very short, around 100 minutes. So the length is also a plus point. Editing is also sharp.
Film reaches on the top level with the stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. Manav Kaul is also one of the finest supporting actors. John's cameo brings cheers in the theater. Neil looks like a villain. And the one and only Aditi Rao Hydari is so so so beautiful. Her costumes, her earrings, her expressions, her eyes full of tears, her eyes full of joy, her eyes full of unspoken words - everything is so perfect that again I fell in love with her. For me, Wazir is the best movie of Aditi till date.
Film narrates the story with the game, chess. So the title is perfectly suitable. Music is a major plus point. Tere Bin is soulful. Maula, Khel Khel Mein and Tere Liye Mere Kareem are good. Tu Mere Paas by Ankit Tiwari is a song which will be going to in your playlist for long. Atarangi Yaari in the end, is a fun to watch with a melodious tune.
Background music is of to mark. The song Aao Huzur played on the piano very beautifully. Dialogues are fabulous. Mohabbat to uss zamane me thi, ab to Love ka spelling bhi badalkar LUV ho gaya hai! Zindagi iss shataranj ki tarah nahi, yahaan Hathi-Ghodo ki jagah Kutte daud rahe hai!
Locations and sets are good. Kashmir looks stunning. Chasing of Farhan on the road of Delhi is breathtaking.
On the whole, go for it. The movie will not disappoint you. It is full of emotions, so go and enjoy this first good movie of this year!

First of all, let me clarify one thing that I'm not a fan of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. So, this is a very genuine review of his latest film.
Story is based on Bajirao and Mastani's love story. History is somehow different, but, the film is classic. The sets and costumes of Bhansali's film are always wonderful. This time I found thet the major plus point of the film is dialogues. Though performances wise, all the actors have done a great job. But, then also, the impact of the dialogues is very much high. I remember that I used to say something as the appreciation in every two-three minutes, because every one is delivering sharped and pointed one liners. Which can attack you on your head but leaves the scratches in your heart.
Music is wonderful. Because of the promo song of Deewani Mastani which was used to be shown in the theater before the release, has made me to watch this on the silver screen. Pinga is also a delight watch. Remo has choreographed it really well. Aayat is nice. The new version of Albela Sajan is also there. Malhari is very energetic. I don't like only Mohe Rang Do Laal. I think most of the viewers may get bore during that song. Lyrics are suitable.
Ranveer Singh has delivered an award winning performance. May be this year, all awards will be given to him, as I don't know any other good male competitor is there, except Sushant for Bakshy. I don't like Deepika, so if I write something about her, you may get angry on me. I like Priyanka, and she has given a fine supportive performance. Though, I want to see more, but, she is perfect in this role, as it has many shades of an Indian woman. Tanvi Aazmi as Bajirao's mother, has given a powerful performance. All the others are suitable. Irrfan's magical voice is there, too.
Scenes are very dramatic as well as real. So, you may find that it is just a story, but, will definitely connect with the characters as the film runs. I don't find it boring. May be first half is slightly longer. Climax is superb. There is some emotional touch in it that my eyes get wet.
Sanjay has given a super-hit movie. It's up to public now. Skip Dilwale. Go and watch this, you will love it for sure. May be I'll go for the second time, too. As Bhansali Ne Public Ko Movie Dee Hai, Timepass Nahi!

Rohit Shetty and team are back again with Shah Rukh Khan. This time, the star casts are bigger including Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Boman Irani, Johny Lever, Varun Sharma and Sanjay Mishra.
Concept is not new. But the presentation is. Comedy part of the film is very high along with high doze of action scenes. We can see emotional scenes for the first time in Rohit's movie. Locations are fabulous. Though Gerua song doesn't look like real, but, it is. All the action sequences were shoot with the help of stuntmen, and believe me, it's a hard job as I'd seen the making.
Srk looks stunning. His charming gestures has aw-struck feelings for the ladies. As I have heard many times in the hall. Whistles have been played when Srk develop the angry expression for the first time. That scene was paisa-wasul. Varun Dhawan is the second lead in male. He is good, and his tunning with Srk is superb. Their emotional scene is one of the plus points.
Kajol looks beautiful. Her pair with Srk is the best. I love her in all her films, so this time too she rolled it. Her character has many shades, and she portrays every shade superbly. Kriti looks gorgeous. She suits with the film and Varun, too.
Varun Sharma is a good comedian. His solo speech is awesome. Johny Lever is as usual. Boman Irani is nice. The man, Sanjay Mishra is too good. Kabir Bedi and Vinod Khanna have cameo roles, and they are perfect.
Dialogues have been penned by Farhad-Sajid. Humor is more compare to Chennai Express. But, it is less compare to Golmaal series.
Music by Pritam is good. Gerua is a hit. Janam Janam is as well. Emotion song is cool. Tukur Tukur is suitable in the end titles. I don't get the reason why they put that slow song in the last 20 minutes. I mean it's unnecessary. Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya is enjoyable.
On the whole, SRK-Kajol lovers have to watch them on the silver screen. I'm sure I don't want to say to Srk's fans to watch this, because they will for sure. Others may find it slow and boring. But, definitely a one time watch in the theater.
