.
The film remains in its humble boundaries, nothing over the top and that comes out its strength. I wish the makers cast a better villain, but it works. Definitely better than Raees.

The One Dimensional Royalty
The Badshah is desperate to get back his throne from the Sultan and The Ekka. But the King seems desperate, yet he seems tired and tensed, maybe a mere reflection of the former self. He is supported by #onedimensional characters which we have seen quite a few times now . The characters lack depth and Raees himself is confused who he is.
The plot is generic and spends more time in creating plot devices and being political correct than bringing out the rivalries and conflicts. Flashbacks really can't help you remember something mediocre. #generic #predictable #forced
The peasant is sad.

Factually Incorrect. Lacks conflict.
This 'biopic' about such a controversial incident lacks the most important thing ie 'conflicts'.
Factually incorrect at many places and lacking any teeth, this turns out to be a usual 90rs morning- show escape from sweltering Indian summer.
They could have brought out what happened inside the dressing rooms(not just name taking but real conversations among the players who did not support Azhar), could have ventured into Hansie Cronje's death in a suspicious flight crash, the Indian captaincy jugglery during the end 90's and arrival of the next team India brigade led by Dada and Azhar and much more but they chose to give footage to Nargis Fakhiri which ain't a bad value proposition either ;)

Glad to see Marvel sticking to formula of 'fun' and 'humor' with #actionPacked sequences right from the first minute till the end.
Watch it for the #stupendous surprises and #amazing Spider-man cameo. A great start to the summer with good laywork for Phase III.
PS: It may not top Avergers but miles better than Avengers II

Good to do.
it wasn't that bad after all. The problem with every new Terminator movie is the inevitable comparison with the legendary T2: Judgement day which can't be beaten though. It was a fine movie.

I think that is the problem with every sequel - high expectations. On the similar lines i liked Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation

No Max in Mad Furiosa
Guess it doesn't take much to entertain moviegoers today. The film was non-stop action and visuals but a very thin and poorly written script. There's no narrative (much like the other Mad Max films). We just jump in and follow these characters we know nothing about. It's literally just a giant chase scene from beginning to end. We know very little about these people. I will say they did a decent job of setting up Charlize Theron's character, but as usual with Max, we get absolutely nothing. It's a movie called Mad Max and we get no character once again for this guy. He's just a guy who participates in the action. There is nothing special about him. The other thing that really pissed me off was that they spend the whole movie running away from Citadel only for them to be like "yeah lets go back" and they try to justify it. duh?
You have to have the basics: Set up your main character. Give us something. These quick little flashbacks do nothing.
Yes I am the same guy who gave GodZilla 4.5...he had more lines to say than Max here...

A movie in decades, actually after RDB which received a standing ovation from the audience. The art of deception, even Nolan is not as talented as the makers of the film to pull of such a feat, the audience can't help but appreciate it just spent 127 hours on a Arjun Rampal film. Yeah there is Ranbir' too, who feels to be acting in the film either at a gunpoint or to pay his debts after the disastrous Besharam. Story: You wan't anything to happen, but it never happens. Duh!!

Awesome movie # 1
When I first came to know about Guardians of Galaxy, I was a bit skeptical. Obviously , I had no idea who they were and again I was simply not excited about "not another superhero team up movie" and my expectations sea-dived after seeing the horrendous post credit scene of Thor 2 featuring The Collector and directed by Gunn himself. But boy, little did I know Gunn and Co would write and Bradley cooper would perform such a character like Rocket Raccoon!!! The tiny mammal steals the show and you are left yearning for more of him. Marvel has yet another lovable character(reminiscent of Timon) after Hulk and Loki who really deserve separate movies. They must explore his origins in the next one.
The plot and story does not have much to offer. There are references to kree, nova corps, Infinity gems, Thanos daughters, The Treaty,Terrans, but they are not that important if you are not very much dedicated to the marvel folklore. Again, the villain is half baked and tries very hard to sound menacing but unfortunately all he seems is to look like a cosplayer who missed his bus to the comic con. I hope vultron and Thanos are written better .
The music is high point of the movie and sets the mood very well. The humor, like previous marvel movies, has always some new laughs to offer and yes Groot is impressive too. Chris pratt as Star lord does his job well , but nothing exceptional.
Overall, a superb fun movie since the Avengers.
Yes it is the best action movie this summer and you must go and catch it!!!
PS: Howard the duck!!!! really??

Secondly, the summer is getting hot here, and the box-office hotter. On the heals of 2 superhero movies and tailgating Godzilla, we have one of the biggest movie for the summer. The question of the day is: is it worth your 200 bucks given it is supposed to render the past 1-2 movies as redundant(I guess I want my 400 back :P, huh...they never happened).
I am not sure whether the scriptwriters intended it to be so( and look smart ), but the plot is convoluted, or tries to force things, and that leads to lot of continuity issues but nevermind, they will fix it in the next one by undoing this one :P

The "inbetweenquel" definitely sets the course right and as earlier said, undoes the last few X-MEN movies. Guess, now everyone is alive and we are given no explanation as we don't need one , this is a "comic book movie" and every one can cheat death or travel back in time and can undo his death.

Fourthly, The movie on its own is good, not great. The buildup and tension were lacking so was the emotional content which is one of the driving forces of actioners these days. There are some good moments, some good humor, some great action pieces but yeah Magneto already lifted the Golden Bridge once, not a big deal he did that again for a football ground. Performances were good, Dinklage was not special though, everyone has done his/her job right except for Maximoff, who was simply AMAZING.

First, lets talk about the pros definitely have to be Magneto and his son QuickSilver. They have literally owned the movie, and one feels bad for wolverine having a side role given the movie marketing put him in forefront.
Michael fassebander should be considered the perfect casting for a comic book character on the same pedestal as Heath ledger and RDJ, and the movie proves why Magneto is rated #1 villain of all time. Hope to see quicksilver again in the next XMEN as well as Avengers 2 :P.

But Again, the movie (thanks the earlier versions) fails in getting the audience attached to the characters, well nobody cared if the sentinels killed a dozen of x-men or will kill more, I will cry buckets when Ultron kills one of Avengers in Avengers:AOU but I did not even give a fuck when the X-men were getting picked apart by Sentinels.
Since the movie's sole purpose was course correction, it must be considered a success but not an achievement . If you loved First class, you will like this one too.

Mangoman reviewed Godzilla
GodZilla was definitely the most anticipated summer movie for many and it does deliver. Yes its a Monster+Disaster Summer popcorn flick which should not be getting a score more than 8, but the magnanimous presence of Godzilla adds the +2 points ;)

The success of Godzilla lies in the art of creating a build up, the art of creating the tension, and the atmosphere. It was not the first time you were watching mega monster invading a city, but still the makers managed to create the anticipation.
It is just not a Monster vs Monster movie. Maybe some last minute and conscious decisions were made not to focus on the monster battles, after PACIFIC RIM under-performed last year, the makers focused more on the Legend of Godzilla, investing on full half of the movie, 3 characters including Bryan Cranston solely for glorifying GodZilla with references like "Force to restore balance of nature" ,"Alpha Predator" ,"top of food chain" and the monsters with words like :"it will take us back to stone age".

The question of the day is "Does the last act live up to expectation?"...well we are Men, 'satisfaction' & 'fashion' doesn't exist in our dictionaries :P. I guess we could have had more screentime for Godzilla...some moon-walking, some foot stomping ,some more tail-slapping and some chest thumping...but never mind ...this one is sure shot $500 mill+..we will get a sequel.

The CGI and sound have delivered the most spine-chilling moments in recent times. The atomic breath re-charge is one of them and to my memory ,the best in this decade after Avengers's: "I am always Angry".

Come on WB, make GodZilla: Atlantic Rim ....
PS: GodZilla is nice at heart, I will name my next Dog after him .
