The startup world has become a trending topic in today's entertainment. Two of the best comedies HBO's Silicon Valley and TVF's Pitchers are both based on this world and both have been immensely popular.
But there is one thing that is still left to be seen in these shows. And that is the idea or to be more specific, how the idea was thought of.
While Silicon Valley did show some look at ideas, mostly over-the-top ideas, Pitchers never really told us about what their startup is about.
And this is brought up by What the Goat , a webseries by NEXTBIGWHAT.TV. The show is a satirical take on the world of startups as they show the darker aspect of this world in the most humorous way possible.

What the Goat is about the glitches in the world of startup as we explore the dark truths and disappointments that most people in the world have already faced at some point. How it is not always as glamorous as it might seem and that it can be pretty excruciating at times.
The show is based on the hope of being the one with the million dollar idea and the excruciating battle to search for it when all of them are already used up.
The show is based on four individuals, all of whom try to make it big in the startup hub of India, Bangalore.
We see them coming up with an idea and how they are confident about it and just when they thought that they finally have it, they immediately learn the hard truth of this world. Basically something that has happened to most of the people who are in this world. And then comes their search for a new idea and when they finally get one, it will definitely surprise you. You soon realise that this show is going a very unconventional route. That it is actually a satire of this world.
According to the creators, some of the things that happen in the show are actually based on true events that have happened to them in the past. And some have been created in ways to bring forward the glitches of this world in a satirical and hilarious way.
The show is created by the students and alumni of IIT Kanpur. Aditya Raj Somani serves as the writer and director of the show and does a great job in displaying the harsh reality of this world in a humorous script that has the honest and the satirical elements placed in the correct order. The four leads are played by IIT Kanpur dramatics club alumnis, Sulabh Tiwari, Navin Lalwani and Vishal and theater actress Natasha Azad.
