Upcoming Biopics in Bollywood You Can't Afford to Miss!

Bollywood is home to many biopics. We have seen many movies which are directly or indirectly inspired by true events. We have Mary Kom, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Neerja, Sarbjit and many more.

Most of the biopic films are successful in creating a very big hype in the market and many of them are successful on box office also. दंगल being the highest grosser Indian film in biopic category. Following in this category there are many movies on the line because of high demands of such films in the market.

The Accidental Prime Minister

The Accidental Prime Minister is all set to release in 2018. Veteran Actor Anupam Kher is portraying as the ex-Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh. The first look of the film was revealed in July 2017, by the lead actor himself. Anupam Kher is undoubtedly looking dedicated for the film. The film is based Sanjay Baru's book of the same name.

Mogul: The Gulshan Kumar Story

Next in the list is Mogul: The Gulshan Kumar Story . This film is based on the life journey of the music emperor Gulshan Kumar. Gulshan Kumar was the founder of Super Cassettes Industries also known as T-series Music label. Today, due to his efforts T-series hold 60% of the Indian Music Market with a turn over of over 4.2 million USD. It exports to over 24 countries across 6 continents. The film stars Akshay Kumar as the lead actor.

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is the next biopic in line from Bollywood starring Kangana Ranaut. The biopic is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi and her fight against the British during the Rebellion of 1857. The principal photography started in May 2017 and the film is all set to release on 27 April 2018.

Gold

Gold is based on India's first ever gold medal victory in the Olympics. The film is based on the life of Balbir Singh Dosanjh . The film has Akshay Kumar as the lead actor. The plot and other things about the film are kept a complete secret but only a poster is revealed by the lead actor. The film is expected to hit theatres on 15 August 2018.

Padman

Next is Akshay Kumar's Padman. Padman is inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham. He invented low-cost sanitary napkin making machine.

'83

The next is one of the most important biopics to be made. It is named '83. I guess you all have understood what is the reference. Yes, it is a film based on 1983 India's cricket world cup victory. The film stars Ranveer Singh in lead most probably will be playing Kapil Dev. The film probably will release in late 2018 and will be shot at real locations. Ranveer Singh is taking cricket training for his role.

Saina Nehwal

There are some other untitled films in line. Some of them include the biopic on Saina Nehwal. It is an untitled film with no release date till now. All we know about the film is that role of Saina Nehwal will be portrayed by Shraddha Kapoor. Shraddha has already started training for badminton with Saina Nehwal.

Sanju

Next film is biopic on Sanjay Dutt. The film is temporarily named Sanju. The name could be retained for the final release. The role of Sanjay Dutt is portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor. The film is scheduled to release in March 2018. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
I guess Bollywood making biopics on different people will help people understand life struggle of different people other than sports. Every living person goes through some struggle in life. Some have right guts to pass through that struggle and some do not. Those who have guts and pass through the struggle achieve something in life. Success is not just about getting famous or having money. If you are able to eat food before going to sleep, you are successful.
