By MMR | 6.9k |

Game of Thrones just ended another spectacular season with just enough twists and turns and of course deaths, to keep the fans excited for their next season. This season marked the return and departure of many important characters. Let's have a look at some unforgettable moments from this season.
In case you haven't seen this season or the entire Game of Thrones, then you have been warned. Because heavy spoilers ahead.

He's alive!

Everyone's prayers were finally answered when Jon Snow was finally brought back to life by the Red Woman, Melissandre.
The first thing he did was to make sure the people who betrayed him get what they deserve. But not before Ser Alliser Thorne said something that might have gotten into Jon.
And he finally decides to end his watch.

I drink and I know things.

While in Mereen, Tyrion Lannister continues to be as cool and charming as he always is, giving some of the best moments of the show.
He finally gets to meet the dragons.
He tries to make Missandei and Grey Worm laugh.
And how can we not mention his back and forth with Varys.
While Tyrion was taking care of Mereen, Dany's two lovers, Jorah Mormont and Daario Nahaaris were in the search of Dany, while giving away some good moments.

Mother of Dragons!

And Dany's captors had no idea who they were dealing with.
After roasting her captors to death, she finally gets the army she wants and delivers one epic speech.
And then she finally returns to Mereen and meets her new allies.
Did anyone else feel the romance between Yara and Dany?

The Return

This season also marked the return of another character from the dead. The Hound is back and he is not really happy. But we definitely were.

The Starks are not done yet.

This season can also be called Sansa's coming of age season. She is getting stronger with every season.
And speaking of Lord Bolton, we got one of the best villians of TV history with Ramsay Bolton.
And you thought Joffrey will be the most hated character?
But in the end, as they say, Good always prevails over evil. And we got that at the end of one of the most epic battle scenes ever. And Sansa finally got the revenge she wanted.
But Sansa wasn't done with Ramsay yet.
Ramsay's

A Girl finally has a name.

While another Stark, Arya completes her badass training but in the end decides to be who she really is.
But she does use her training to good use, finally taking vengeance for The Red Wedding.

Hold the Door

On the other side of the wall, Brother Stark, Bran also continues his three eyed raven training and well the friendly giant, Hodor sacrifices himself to save Bran.
These tears! I can't stop them!

The Lannisters send their regards

Back in King's Landing, Cersei carries out her sinister plan and gets all she wanted as she gets rid of all of her enemies in an epic wildfire explosion. But she does manage to capture Septa Unella and has her tortured. That too by The Mountain.
Poor Septa. No one would want to be in her place right now.
Meanwhile Cersei's brother/lover Jaime was on his own journey with the awesome Bronn.

The Queen of Thorns

And on the other side, Olenna Tyrell devises a plan with the Dornish Women to get their vengeance. But when the Sand Snakes open their mouth, she did what she does best, be brutally honest.
Olenna Tyrell, the Queen of Micdrop

The fan theory

Also lots of fans rejoiced as, maybe the most popular Game of Thrones fan theory was finally confirmed. The R+L=J Theory. Jon Snow is not a bastard. He is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.

Winter is here

And after the Battle of Bastars, the Starks have finally risen in Winterfell. And after six seasons, the winters have finally come.
And we finally see happiness in the eyes of the Starks.
And how can we forget the scene stealer of the season, Lyanna Mormont, whose epic final speech was enough to make everyone scream for Jon Snow and even the people watching scream for 'THE KING IN THE NORTH'.
Can't. Just can't wait for season 7.
