New Most Awaited TV Shows on Netflix

Netflix has given us some of the best shows in television over the years and they continue to deliver them without any stop. Here are a few upcoming Netflix shows that we are waiting for eagerly.

Marvel's Luke Cage

The scene-stealer from Marvel's Jessica Jones , Luke Cage (Mike Colter) is getting his own TV Show. The show will focus on the Marvel comic character and will also star Mahershala Ali as the main antagonist. It is set to release on September 30.

Marvel's Iron Fist

Finn Jones of Game of Thrones fame is set to take on the role of this billionaire Buddhist Monk and martial arts expert. Although not much details have been announced yet, we only know that it is set to release in early 2017. Fellow Game of Thrones co-star Jessica Henwick and David Wenham of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring will round up the supporting roles.

Marvel's The Defenders

And it will all come down to this. Marvel's team up of superheroes in their own TV Show. The show will feature all four superheroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist as they team up to defend New York against crimes. No other news has been announced except that it will be out in latter part of 2017.

Marvel's The Punisher

Jon Bernthal stole the show and became an overnight sensation with his take on the role of Frank Castle aka The Punisher in the second season of Marvel's Daredevil . No details have been released yet except that it will be out in 2018.

Dear White People

This will be the TV adaptation of the critically acclaimed indie drama Dear White People . The show will continue the trend of satiring the issues of racism and discrimination. No initial details have been released except that Brandon Bell will reprise his role from the original movie and Logan Browning of Powers fame has been cast in the lead role.

A Series of Unfortunate Events

Based on the children's novel of the same name, this TV adaptation will star Neil Patrick Harris as he takes on the mantle of Count Olaf, who was previously portrayed by Jim Carrey in the movie Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events . Patrick Warburton of The Tick is set to star as Lemony Snicket.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

Gilmore Girls fans rejoice. After the cancellation of the show nine years ago, Netflix is set to revive the show again with most of the original cast including Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and Mellisa McCarthy returning. Set to premiere on November 25, the series will consist of four 90 minutes episodes and each episode is said to cover a season.
