[Updated 25 Apr] The Summer is finally here which only means it's time for the Blockbuster movie seasons. Summer is the time when we get the big Superhero movies, the ones which are highly anticipated and attracts more audiences. Basically this is the money-making season.

2016 is another big year for movies. This is by far the biggest year for Superhero movies with the addition of remakes, sequels, prequels, some outrageous looking comedies and few animated ones. Listed below are this Summer's biggest releases and BO predictions.

Captain America: Civil War

Release Date : May 6
Box-Office Predictions : USA - $524 million WW - $1.6 billion
Rationale : It's basically Avengers 2.5 with the addition of Spider-Man
Director: Anthony and Joe Russo

The Angry Birds Movie

Release Date : May 20
Box-Office Predictions : USA - $110 million WW - $230 million
Rationale : Looks like a crapfest but does have the advantage of being Summer's first animation.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising

Release Date : May 20
Box-Office Predictions : USA - $79 million WW - $120 million
Rationale : Sounds like a rehash with not much going for it. The cast full of young girls aren't really promising and most guys will prefer The Nice Guys

Rationale : This could be this year's The Heat , counter programming all the other Sci-Fi and Comic Book action movies.

Rationale : Another fancy 3D outing for kids.

X-Men: Apocalypse

Release Date : May 27
Box-Office Predictions : USA - $220 million WW - $710 million
Rationale : The ladies have taken the mantle from Wolverin(seems a cameo) which can be a good thing given the recent success of female led films. But a highly crowded window and the superhero bubble about to burst, it may not do much better than the previous one.

Box-Office Predictions : USA - $165 million WW - $560 million
Rationale : TMNT has a strong fanbase. Adding new characters is a good decision. The trailers look better than the first movie so it should do better than the first one.

The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist

Release Date : June 10
Box-Office Predictions : USA - $180 million WW - $405 million
Rationale : It should definitely build on the brand of the previous movie, which was so surprisingly good. The trailer too looks really promising.

Rationale : The same tricks are definitley not goingt to work again.

Rationale : Another CGI slugfest with too many non-relatable characters. Bombs on the cards.

Rationale : Pixar property. It should do par with Toy Story 3.

Rationale : Only Chinese box-office will be the savior to this movie.

Rationale : The Spielberg name behind the movie will make it big. Besides that, not much has been revealed.

Rationale : People are already fed up with the presidential elections, so this is a pass.

Rationale : Film full of talking animals will be a overdose. But kids will be attracted and hence it will get past the 100 mark.

Rationale : It was already seen as a bad idea and the horrible trailer added another nail to the coffin. Bomb!

Rationale : Yet another Ice Age rehash but Scrat does look good in the trailer and he is a big brand worldwide and hence will be helpful.

Rationale : Another off the summer R-rated comedy. Although this is a new concept and the team behind the movie is pretty strong.
