A Beautiful Mind is one of the most touching stories I have ever seen. It follows the story of a young man who is beyond genius; a prodigy. He finds himself in a situation where he is of utmost importance to the country. There is also a romantic aspect to the story that has been kept limited to it’s requirement.
There were moments when the movie seemed to get slow but that was required for the pace of the movie, so no real harm done.
There comes a turn in the story that it very unexpected. I can't seem to elaborate how important and difficult this turn was without giving away spoilers but it was something that hits you out of nowhere and leaves you confused for a while. I would call it a plot twist had it not been a biographical film about John Nash, the Nobel Memorial Prize winner for his work in game theory.
The story takes you from his youth to his old age, through his troubles, his pain and his recovery and his achievements. It shows you his fight to be normal. It makes you feel proud of him. It makes you cry, not only when he’s in pain but also when he’s successful. It’s a story that is bound to warm your heart and capture you.
The movie has been made beautifully and subtly. Russell Crowe has outdone himself. It’s a must-watch movie. Not just for it’s story but also for the way it has been directed and played out.

Bol Bachchan is the kind of movie that people go to see when they’re bored and want to switch their brains off for a while and yet have a laugh.
I would take the time to explain the basic plot but I’m afraid there hardly was one worth writing about. The story follows a character, played by Abhishek Bachchan, who spins lies upon lies and gets wrapped up in them. A rather common and typical plot, if I may say so.
One of the only good points about this movie is the comic relief provided by the absurd English spoken by Ajay Devgn’s character. I wouldn’t call it humour but his dialogues are ridiculous enough to make me laugh at the sheer bizzareness of it all.
The jokes are repetitive and very low in standard. The entire enemy-family concept is far too overused. The fact that they used homosexuality and turned it into some sort of flimsy joke just makes the movie all the more irritating. The songs are absolutely skip-able. Honestly, I'd recommend you skip them if you can.
The acting by itself isn’t particularly bad, but the lack of depth or even any sort of plot makes the actors look like they haven’t put enough efforts. .
Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this movie to anyone unless they were looking for a movie to mock or were the sorts who enjoy mindless cheap jokes.
All in all, it’s a mass movie. And yet, adviced against.

Sherlock is a character everyone knows about, be it through books or movies.
This BBC show is based on the books written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is about a private detective in London who goes by the name of Sherlock Holmes and his companion Dr. John Watson.
There are slight variations from the books but delightfully so. The sheer genius of Sherlock’s character is absolutely mesmerizing. The bond between him and Dr. Watson is well portrayed and often rather entertaining.
Benedict Cumberbatch has done a brilliant job playing a legendary character such as Sherlock Holmes and it has been perceived very positively by the viewers. Martin Freeman has always been known to have a knack for acting and has outdone himself in this role as well.
While book adaptations are often frowned upon by the fans of the books, this show is well loved and accepted by even the book-lovers. It has it’s own quirks with Sherlock being less aware of human sentiments and Watson having to explain it to him or make amends on his behalf. It’s all rather lightly humourous.
Each episode lasts for one and a half hour and is like a movie itself. While this is perfect in order to cover all the main aspects from the book, occasionally, it feel like the episode goes on for far too long. The story however, is captivating so it’s not always a hindrance.
The biggest downside of this show is it’s frequency. As the cast includes some major actors who take up other projects as well as the fact that each episode it like a movie, the seasons tend to have a gap of a couple years in between. This either causes you to get impatient or move on to other shows. Although you will always return once the new episodes are released.
The show is wonderfully directed, has one of the best casts and has thrilling and intelligent plot lines. Let’s not forget the allure of those British accents! It is most certainly a must-watch show.

Rang De Basanti starts as the story of a young British woman to travels to India to make a documentary about Indian freedom fighters. With the help of her friend Sonia, she finds five young men to play the parts. The story follows their lives, filled with fun and jokes and friendship. They gradually begin to relate to the roles they had each assumed and see that the situation that plagued the revolutionaries is still at play.
The movie shows their fight against the corruption and their path to avenge their friend’s dishonoured death.
While the story sounds very serious, the movie has been made in a beautiful manner. It’s joyful and fun and humorous and gets serious and emotional towards the end without losing the youthfulness of the characters. It captures you right from the start. It makes you think and analyze the state of our country and our freedom. It makes you feel what the characters are feeling.
There is not a single dull moment in the entire movie. It’s a roller-coaster of laughter, tears, and heartbreak.
It’s one of the best movies I have ever seen. It’s like a wave that lifts you up and comes crashing down just as beautifully and dramatically. It leaves you feeling soulful and aware.
It’s a movie that everyone must certainly watch. It’s a movie that everyone has loved. It’s a movie that most people have on their favourites list.

The show follows the tale of two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, as they live their lives “saving people, hunting things”. They fight the supernatural forces that threaten human lives.
It starts out as them following their father’s path to avenge their mother’s death caused by the paranormal. Dean is originally much more willing to live life as a hunter than Sam.
It is entertaining, emotional and funny in its own way. It concentrates on the relationship between two brothers, which is refreshing. It lacks a romance component which is much appreciated by the audience as it would make the show a cliché. It shows the strength of the bond of family.
It occasionally gets a little slow or repetitive but picks up again. If you push yourself and sit through the dull moments, you'll be treated to some really good plots!
The cast is selected perfectly to suit their roles. Every character has its own quirks and personality and are all loved equally by the viewers.
It shows even the supernatural world as more than black and white through the characters of various angels and demons and other creatures.
Supernatural has covered nearly all the creatures or monsters that most of us have ever heard of. It’s rather thrilling and fascinating. They often speak of the lore and that is very interesting to hear.
The show started off as a horror show that wasn't meant to last longer than the first 5 seasons. But the story took a different turn. So if you're in search of horror, this wouldn't be the show you're probably looking for. Otherwise, it's a darn good show!
