Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's bollywood debut surprises one nd all by getting the tag of the 'Best Film Of The Year' till now....Certainly it's one of the finest acts delivered by Amitabh Bachchan(who is exceptional),Taapsee Pannu(Her best till nw),Angad Bedi and Kirti Kulhari(Deserves a special mention).....Piyush Mishra does a commendable job.....Angad Bedi is spot on with his badass potrayal of Rajveer Singh....He would b rememberd fr ths role.....Amitabh's character build up is a big thumbs up-whatwith showing his mood swinging yet depressing side also....
It isn't preachy bt it straight forwardly questions our society fr their perspectyv about modern women-giving instances tht short skirts indicate bad character,a woman who drinks is a prostitute,etc.
The courtroom scenes r the best(A bit inspired frm 'The Accused')
It s a raw film(undiluted and real) nd u r bound to stay edged to ur seats till the end credits roll down completely(Evn aftr the end credits I bet u wont leave the theatre bcoz it has more to offer....The whole case is shown in the end followed by the beautiful poem by Amitabh Bachchan(Vocals))
Fight if u aren't wrong....nd don't gyv up or say sryy.....women shud b treated equally is what the theme of the film is....There is subtle humour with a bit emotional ending...Direction,technique,dialogues,(Ritesh Shah) are top notch....Will sweep away many awards ths yr....
Note:- 10 National Award winners(Example:- Shoojit,Amitabh,Anupam,Shantanu,Aniruddha,etc) joined hands to make ths film....Gyv it a watch.....More than a one time watch(A 'Baar Baar Dekho' film)

Dear Zindagi-A slice of life movie...It's all about getting away with complexities and jst 'Love Your Zindagi'....Filled with classy one-liners-which would make u laugh while some r emotional too....It stays with you even after u leave the theatre....One of the best dialogues is 'Don't let ur past blackmail ur present to ruin ur beautiful future'
Khan proves yet again why he is the KING....Not even for a second is he wasted by the talented Gauri Shinde(Of English Vinglish fame)...
He is charming throughout his screen time(he gets ample screen time in his extended cameo)....His performance is sure to win many hearts...For those who thought SRK has lost his midas touch,watch this masterpiece and fall in love again....Alia is equally outstanding in her role of a cinematographer...The film deals with the complexities of life and relationships...Further it focuses upon how abnormally girls r treated in society...In short,you would definitely have a lot of things to take with you after watching this movie....The only shortcoming is its duration...The editor's scissors should've worked a bit more...
Perfect direction,well execution,melodious and situational music,meritful writing,meaningful dialogues and effortless acting make this one of the best movies of the year...A must watch....
Note:- Aditya Roy Kapur,Angad Bedi and Ali Zafar have interesting cameos......They are used well by the director,but sadly this would be,most probably,the last film as well as the last song(Tu Hi Hai) of Ali Zafar in Bollywood...
Warning:- Don't depend upon reviews(though they are excellent as well)...Dare to watch it...U won't regret if you understand the film....

Befikre-A casual film...
Watch it at your own risk...No,it's not that bad....It's not that good either...
Ranveer's charm,comic tyming and nothing but Ranveer is the show-stealer...He keeps the film going and its good to get entertained...Filled with abundant kissing scenes and some nudity by Ranveer Singh(that's definitely somethng to watch out for),it is an amalgamation of many other films-Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania,Band Baaja Baaraat,Love Aaj Kal to name a few...Certain parts remind of other rom-coms....
The YRF factor is definitely there with Aditya Chopra's effortless direction and choice of locations,but that's definitely not enough to make a good film,isn't it???
Vaani Kapoor's French accent and dance moves are bang on...Overall she is good...It's all about 'I dare you' and the dare games which are interesting and funny(initially),but then it becomes monotonous....
Certain scenes are excellent whereas some scenes are completely over the top(which would remind you of the 'Housefull' franchise)....Befikarness is exaggerated too much during the song 'Ude Dil Befikre'(far from reality)...Dialogues and background score are the best thing in the movie....They are placed well and are meaningful enough...
The Karaoke part was a downer,which is one of the reasons why it felt stretched in the second half...The runtime should've been reduced....There's nthng new in Befikre,hence,a letdown...Overall,there's no lack of entertainment in this carefree movie....Get ready to get turned on this winter....
Note:- After watching it,you'll feel why the CBFC has been so partial for this film....A BRAVE attempt though...
Warning:- Don't enter with expectations...Watch it only if either you have time and money to spend or you are a die hard fan of The Ranveer Ching...

After Rang Rasiya, Ketan Mehta comes up with the mindblowing story of Dasrath Manjhi. Spellbound is the word for it. Nawaz excels in every frame. Radhika Apte is perfect as Manjhi's wife. Rural cinematography, crisp editing and the inspiring yet romantic story are enough to leave you teary-eyed. Award deserving movie.

Dangal - It's a love story. Shocked???
Relax! It is a father-daughter love story, unlike Sultan. Therefore, try to watch the film without comparing because both are very much different from each other. Aamir Khan is back after two long years and as usual, his movie is worth the wait. Aamir Khan excels in every scene as Mahavir Singh Phogat. He is perfect as the strict father of Geeta and Babita. The young girls deserve a special mention for their role. Zaira and Fatima are excellent in their respective characters. After Bhoothnath Returns, Nitesh Tiwari is back with a movie in which you would rarely find flaws(keeping aside cinematic liberties). Sakshi Tanwar is the perfect support as Mahavir's wife. Hard hitting dialogues, crisp editing, flawless direction, background music, cinematography and every other thing make this a must watch for one and all.
Credit goes to the director for not making it a typical commercial affair. Major surprise comes in the form of Arijit Singh's 'Naina' which will surely make you emotional. Every sports drama is incomplete without a large dose of patriotism. Dangal is patriotic, emotional and equally inspiring. Surely, you will root for the characters.
Note :- Don't dare to miss this. Definitely one of the best movies of 2016.
