Why We're Looking Forward to Raees and You Should Too.

With critical acclamation for his acting in Fan and डियर ज़िन्दगी soaring at the box office, Shahrukh has again taken the industry but storm and proved his title, as to why he is still the King of Bollywood.

Set in the late 80s and early 90s in Gujarat, Raees follows the story of a criminal/ bootlegger named Abdul Latif who goes on to build an empire in Gujarat and then become a politician. A direct hit on the prohibition of alcohol, prostitution and other illegal substances in Gujarat, Abdul Latif's rise to eminence (played by none other than SRK) is beset by difficulties due to the tough cop played by none other than Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

On board of the team of producers (along with Farhan Akhtar, and Riteish Sidhwani) is also Shahrukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan herself. This film also marks the Bollywood debut of the gorgeous Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in a supporting role.

And of course, what has already garnered 37 million views on Youtube is Sunny Leone's appearance in an item song - a remake of the 80s Laila Main Laila. The song sequence also follows a shootout scene.

Revenge, Love and Action mingle in this movie to give what is assuredly going to be a hit, looking at the hype beforehand. While all of SRK's films have achieved commercial success, there is always a mixed negative word of mouth (Cue: Fan) and we hope that Raees will mark the star's return to his niche in super-stardom.
